I thought I would feature a few celebrities that I feel really got it right most of the time, rather it be their casual or formal attire. So here are some of my favorite outfits they wore during 2014!

Some of My Favorite Products from 2014
Most of these items have been spotlighted many times. Seeing as I did not personally make any beauty purchases for myself, I'm afraid there is not many new things to show you. As a matter of fact, only two of these things are newly discovered from the last year. It's kind of a toss-up between not having too many new things to include and sticking more to what I like. With that said, it was still as difficult as ever to narrow it down to these fourteen. Thank goodness for monthly favorites!

It was an exciting year in the blogging world for me. I had opportunities to review some amazing products and work with great companies. I got to know a lot of new faces throughout social media and on here. And while some think the blogging community is becoming more negative, I am happy to say that I have hardly experienced that. Maybe it's because I surround myself with positive and supportive bloggers, which makes me extremely grateful for what's around me when I sign on. So thank you!

What I Did During Christmas Break
I enjoyed a nice week and a half with my husband during the holidays. I think I can count the amount of times I left home on one hand and I loved every single second of it. Is this an exciting post speaking of travels and adventures? Can't say that it is, but there's some darn cute animals in it and that's worth reading, right? Come see some pictures that I took during the holidays!

What I Got for Christmas 2014
Here's my opinion- I don't feel like we should have to put a disclaimer on these types of posts. Some people love them, some hate them. Personally, they are one of my favorite posts to read and videos to watch. I often get future gift ideas from them and I think that what people got for Christmas/Hanukkah says a lot about where they are in life, their tastes, their character...I enjoy that! I'm no different with wanting to see what's in your fridge, your purse, your car, etc. #beennosyallmylife #whystopnow
So if you take these kinds of posts in a negative light (and maybe some people are bragging, but not all), then don't read them. I absolutely love that you have stopped by my blog to read and you can find many other topics to read about if this one has no interest to you. I won't be offended! :) Here is some of what I got for Christmas and I am grateful for and love everything. We had a wonderful Christmas in our new place!

The 2014 Body Shop Advent Calendar: Days 20-24
For my beauty advent calendars, I always do a weekly post on Fridays to show what is behind each slot from the past week. I try not to blog on weekends, so Friday works best for me. Here's what the final week brought in the fabulous Body Shop advent calendar!
Day 21: Eyeshadow Brush - I don't use brushes like this for eyeshadow, but they are amazing for concealer!
Day 22: Shea Shower Cream - Love shower creams. Think I'll break this one in tonight!
Day 23: Shea Body Butter - I love the Shea line. It's not overbearing and moisturizes really well.
Day 24: White Musk Fragrance - I can see this appeasing a lot of different people. It is very light.
To see the rest of this calendar: Days 1-5, 6-12, and 13-19.

Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas to those that celebrate! I just wanted to write a quick note to say that I have posts scheduled to go up during my holiday break. So if you're bored of Netflix and stuffing your face with leftovers and Christmas sweets, I'll have new material up for you to read. A few posts related to 2014 and Christmas will be a bit delayed, as I will be sharing them in the new year.
I liked it that way, because I was always worn out from playing with my gifts from the family that falling asleep for Santa wasn't much of a problem. And it made me appreciative about who gave me what, because it wasn't lost in the chaos that followed the next morning. It was a fun-filled two days with the family!
I hope you all have a lovely holiday break! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

The 2014 Body Shop Advent Calendar: Days 13-19
Are we on December 19th, already? Seriously? Whoa. Normally I complain about Christmas coming too slow and then going by quickly, but this year it seems to be speeding towards me. I hope that means it will go extra slow once it gets here. I'd be okay with that!
For my beauty advent calendars, I always do a weekly post on Fridays to
show what is behind each slot from the past week. I try not to blog on
weekends, so Friday works best for me. Here's what this week brought in
the fabulous Body Shop advent calendar!
Day 14: Vitamin E Moisture Mask - I haven't tried their masks before. Let me know if you have!
Day 15: Vitamin E Night Cream - I love this small size. Looks perfect on the nightstand.
Day 16: Moringa Shower Gel - Not my favorite scent. I might put these aside to give as part of a care package.
Day 17: Moringa Body Milk - Love their body milk! I use the coconut spray one after showers.
Day 18: Bath Lily - I've never heard them called that. I guess I say puff, pouf, loofah, or sponge interchangeably. What do you say?!
Day 19: Honeymania Lip Balm - Hate the smell of honey. Is that strange? I think I'll put this with the Moringa items.
The previous weeks: days 1-5 and days 6-12.

On My Christmas List
The winner of my Lavazza giveaway was chosen and contacted. Thank you to everyone who entered!
I've shared my holiday gift guides for this year, so I thought I would share a few things off of my personal Christmas list. It's small this year, because I honestly got the best gift already when I got Indy for my birthday (and he's definitely getting spoiled with presents!). If interested in any of the things that I have on my list, be aware that some might be sold out online. They can still be found in some stores.
Hair Ribbon Ties - These are gold. Seems expensive, but one pack lasts a year for me. (Sephora, $13)
Bath Set - Winter makes me crave pamper days. (Lush, $29.95)
Towels - I think our towels are on their last legs. (Hudson's Bay, $25 each)
Candle Set - Candles. Give me all the candles! (Victoria's Secret, $40)
Dog Leash - I love that this one has an attachable key ring. Super convenient! (Hudson's Bay, $40)
What are some things you are asking for?

The 2014 Body Shop Advent Calendar: Days 6-12
First of all, thank you to everyone who shared yesterday's post and kept Shawna's family in their thoughts! I'm so happy that they found her last night and she is safe and back home. And before I jump into today's post, I also want to give a quick heads up that I changed the blog layout. With a new year starting soon, I just wanted to do a quick makeover.
For my beauty advent calendars, I always do a weekly post on Fridays to show what is behind each slot from the past week. I try not to blog on weekends, so Friday works best for me. Here's what this week brought in the fabulous Body Shop advent calendar!
Day 7: Strawberry Soap - I approve of the soap, the shape, and the scent. Total win.
Day 8: Strawberry Lip Butter - I already own one of these. Good for keeping by the bed!
Day 9: Strawberry Hand Cream - I prefer the scent to the almond one. Can't stop smelling my hands!
Day 10: Relish the Moment Nail Polish - Basic red and it dried quickly. Not much sheen.
Day 11: Glazed Apple Soap - Ditto to the previous soap!
Day 12: Glazed Apple Shimmer Lotion - I want everything in this scent. Delicious!
Days 1-5 are here. I cannot recommend the Frosted Cranberry and Glazed Apple holiday scents enough! I want everything they have in those scents. So so good!

November 2014 Favorites
Wow, November favorites already! I love November and December, so I have been a happy camper. I have been in the festive spirit for months and it is finely acceptable for me to sing Christmas songs and decorate the heck out of my house. Not that it stopped me before, but I get a lot less strange looks! ;)
The only thing I don't like? It's near impossible to get good lighting for pictures. Sorry if this photo came out a little sharp, but I had to edit it a bit. To the favorites that have a bit of a festive spin this month!
- Soap & Glory Flake Away - My dry skin craves exfoliation and this is a really great scrub!
- MAC Syrup Lipstick - Always one of my go-to fall and winter shades.
- Redken Thermal Setting Mist - Perfect to help your hair make it through holiday parties.
- Essie Stroke of Brilliance - Because holidays call for glitter.
- Naked 3 - I usually prefer the original palette, but this is so great for holiday looks.

Blog of the Month: December 2014
Last month, Ashley was my featured blogger. You can read that post and see other past featured blogs under the "blog of the month" label! Being my blog of the month gets you a designated blog post, a sidebar button, and a mention on my Twitter account. The sidebar button stays up all month long. I don't believe in making bloggers pay for advertising and I'd much rather show you blogs that I really enjoy reading. And I hope you end up enjoying them too! :)
This month, I want to draw your attention to Chelsea. She covers a little of everything, but mostly beauty. She also has a YouTube channel. She posts adorable animal photos and shares my addiction for coffee, so she is okay in my book. I mean those aren't the only things amazing about her, but they don't hurt to be mentioned. On top of that, she has a positive outlook on things and is incredibly sweet. Hope you will check out her blog!

The Body Shop Advent Calendar 2014: Days 1-5
Like last year with the Benefit one, I will be doing weekly insights (on Fridays) into what was behind each little slot. This week is a short one since the 1st fell on Monday. It's so fun to get to open an advent calendar again. Who doesn't want a little present daily, rather it be food or beauty related?!
Day 2: Almond Nail File - Weirdly, I like the smell of this. Honestly! It has a slight scent.
Day 3: Frosted Cranberry Soap - Heart-shaped soap? I don't want to use it. It's too cute!
Day 4: Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel - This cranberry scent is delicious. It's Christmas in a bottle.
Day 5: Frosted Cranberry Shimmer Lotion - Emphasis on the word shimmer. Not glitter. It's a nice sheen.
Did you get an advent calendar this year? Also, don't forget that I have a giveaway open! Have a great weekend!

Alright, I think this will be my last gift guide for this holiday season. And for me, it's the toughest. I have never had an easy time shopping for any of the guys, rather it be friends or a significant other. But I have compiled a few ideas that always seem to do the trick.

Coasters - You can never have too many. (Chapters, $14.50 CA)
Drink in a Fun Tote - Sparkling juice, wine...any drink will be accepted with welcome arms. (Kate Spade, $28 US)
Vase with Flowers - A beautiful vase can be used over and over again. (Zara Home, $40 CA)

My 2014 Advent Calendar - The Body Shop
I may be what you consider not normal when I say that I don't really like chocolate. I don't typically crave it and I can take it or leave it. I also come from an area where I did not grow up knowing what an advent calendar was, but I quickly learned about them when I moved to Canada. Enter the dilemma of not caring for the chocolate. It lost its appeal to me after a short while. Then, this magical thing happened. Stores and designers caught on and started offering deluxe versions with fun makeup, skincare, candles, etc. My excitement came back and it's like that very first Christmas that I learned about advent calendars.
Last year, I got the Benefit version which I reviewed every week. This year I wanted something different, so I searched around. Now are you ready for a funny story? When moving, my husband and I came across a paper gift certificate for The Body Shop. It had to be over ten years old, because I am certain that he got it before I came here. So I shoved it aside and figured it would be invalid by now.
He went to one of the downtown Toronto locations and showed them the certificate. One sales associate did not know what to make of it and had never seen one like it and called over her manager. When the manager saw it, she said it was from the 90s. Jaws dropped. And my jaw dropped when they still took it. Thank you, Body Shop! Perhaps it pays to be married to a bit of a hoarder sometimes, afterall (why can't all of the stuff he keeps be gift certificates?!). So with that, I got my advent calendar for this year!
I have my small tree up already, so it served as the perfect backdrop. Can't wait to put up the big tree this weekend! Like last year, I will do a weekly review of these products when December starts. For now, it sits there taunting me in its beautiful packaging.
This post was meant to go up yesterday, but Indy got stung by a wasp on our afternoon walk. He was so pitiful all day and I was an emotional wreck while making sure he was ok. I've had dogs since the day I was born and none of them have ever been stung, despite being outdoors. Then, I get my first indoor dog and he gets stung on his paw. Who would have thought?!
He's a lot better today, though. And hopefully next time (please don't let there be a next time), I won't be so emotional over it now that I know he isn't allergic. For now, I still want to punch that wasp in the face.

October 2014 Favorites
November is here! If I were still in the States I would still have Thanksgiving to focus on, but here Christmas is starting to come out in full force. The ads are on TV, the parades are just around the corner, and people are already starting their Christmas displays in their yards. I've already got my Christmas decorations out of storage and planning where to put everything. To be fair, I'm just super excited about decorating our new place for the first big holiday and we're hosting the family get-together this year!
Wait, where was I going with this? This Christmas addict gets too excited! Here are a few products that got some extra love from me in October.
Dior Amber Diamond Shimmer Powder - I especially love this during cold months where my skin looks flat. Swatch is here.
MUFE Full Cover Concealer - LIFECHANGER. Forever a HG product for me.
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Stash - I have multiples of this. The best olive eyeliner. Swatch is here.
Urban Decay Naked Basics - Great basics palette- the truth is in the name! Swatches are here.
