Here's my opinion- I don't feel like we should have to put a disclaimer on these types of posts. Some people love them, some hate them. Personally, they are one of my favorite posts to read and videos to watch. I often get future gift ideas from them and I think that what people got for Christmas/Hanukkah says a lot about where they are in life, their tastes, their character...I enjoy that! I'm no different with wanting to see what's in your fridge, your purse, your car, etc. #beennosyallmylife #whystopnow
So if you take these kinds of posts in a negative light (and maybe some people are bragging, but not all), then don't read them. I absolutely love that you have stopped by my blog to read and you can find many other topics to read about if this one has no interest to you. I won't be offended! :) Here is some of what I got for Christmas and I am grateful for and love everything. We had a wonderful Christmas in our new place!
^ Typical candy stocking fillers. I love the Reese's Easter Eggs and Christmas Trees the most every year. Perfect chocolate to peanut butter ratio.
^ The beauty related items. I count the
advent calendar, because that big boy gave me a gift a day! Sephora's
hair ribbons are my favorites. They stretch a lot less than other ones I have tried. Larry managed to find me an OPI Peanuts nail polish set downtown and it was the last one. I'm a huge Peanuts fan and missed out when these launched!
^ Inside the Body Shop handcare set. It's still available
online (in US and Canada)!
^ Texting gloves, a new planner, and a Victoria's Secret candle set. What I like about these gloves is that every finger has the texture and not just the index finger and thumb. The planner is the Eccolo brand from Chapters, which is
sold out online but still in stores. I couldn't say no to the gray stripes on the outside and polkadots inside. I'll do a review on it, if the thought doesn't escape me! The candle set is also
sold out online, but some stores may still have it.
^ Starbucks and iTunes. Pretty much two things this girl right here lives on.
^ Larry found this nightlight at an arts and crafts show. If you're someone that has been around on here for awhile, then you know polar bears are my favorite
animal obsession. I've put it in my kitchen and it offers a beautiful warm glow.
^ I used the monogram mugs as place settings for the Christmas Day family dinner. I added little candies and a festive Christmas Cracker to each and everyone knew where to sit. Double duty as decor and as a gift! I had my eye on the Anthropologie ones and had a sales associate set them aside, only to waste gas and time going there to find that they had sold one of them (the last of that letter, no less!) to someone else anyway. So thanks for that, Anthropologie. Kudos to
Chapters for saving the day and everyone got their mug! Larry got me this polar bear one that is 3D and his little tush and tail sticks out on the other side. So precious!
^ Easily my favorite gift this year. Larry had one of our pictures printed out and framed. I've added it to the staircase and it is the start to our gallery wall. I see it every time I walk in the door and can't help but smile.

- ticket for Taylor Swift - going with one of my close friends next October!
- 2 jackets for Indy - It's really cold here and they have little hoods. I'll try to get a pic to share later!
- Cherry Coke Zero - They have to import it here to specialty stores. I need my cherry soda fix sometimes. Canada needs to start selling it again. :(
- Potato peeler - One of those things you don't think about until you're manually doing it and cursing yourself for not having one!
- Christmas Movies DVD - I got to open this one early. It has a load of rare made-for-TV Christmas movies that are pretty old, but have some of my favorite actors in them. Angela Lansbury, Patty Duke, Ed Asner - I love the oldies but goodies! An older generation raised me, so I have a lot of good memories of watching the true veterans of acting.

I did get a second hand iphone 5s and nook 4gb glowlight from ebay, waiting for the nook and super happy with the phone :)) and also SAS BBW candles and two soaps, TBS 50% off sale two body polishes and vanilla brulee edt and a beautiful plaid flannel shirt from Garage. not sure if I forgot something :))
the dog got the Kong toy, it's her favorite ever!!! highly recommend if you don't have one yet, I am so sorry she didn't get one sooner :)
I totally agree with you on Reese's being the perfect chocolate to pb ratio!! I feel like I just read a post somewhere of someone raving about the VS candles, you'll have to update us once you start burning them!
My boyfriend gave me a potato peeler this year too, funnily enough... I already owned a couple of them, but the new one has a handle shaped like a carrot. How can you resist a peeler with a handle shaped like a carrot?!

I love reading posts about what people received for gifts! I think it's also a good way to get ideas for future gifts, too! :) I might have to check out those VS candles.. I didn't even know they existed. And yes.. GCs (Starbucks especially) is what I live off of! :)

I had no idea they even made candles until I saw this set on another blog. I love how understated they are. I love VS, but a lot of their packaging can be over-the-top!
The best mornings are those where you get to break in a new mug. Is that just me?! :)
I'm going to the Saturday, Oct. 3rd show. It seems ages away! It's so odd to buy tickets nearly a year in advance!

Yay for you getting the phone and reader you wanted! I'm sure the iPhone feels like quite an upgrade for you. :) The Body Shop holiday scents were amazing this year! I've been thinking about getting a Kong at some point. Glad to hear your pup loves it - I'll definitely add that to my wishlist for the dog. (<yeah I really do have a wishlist for Indy. LOL!)
went to VS but no candles, sadly I forgot the cocoa, next weekend :))) I never entered that store, can't believe :o
i am super happy with the phone, feels so much better in hand than iphone 6 and there's not such a huge difference hardware-wise so I feel I got a good deal :) I ordered online TBS body polishes, one of them was vanilla brulee, also the edt. I am sad the vanilla brulee scent doesn't last longer on skin while showering and I can smell the edt just when I put it on, the shower gel, I got the sample, was even weaker! strawberry polish which is perm, was luckily a bit stronger. apart from that the smell itself is amazing, wish it lasted at least while I was in the shower!
I also do have a wishlist :))) on etsy. Clothes we have are Canada pooch from pet stores and one plaid from Target, she hates them all :)))
Ah, I'm going on the Friday. And right???? Feels anti-climatic.
