I'm sorry for not updating today. My husband sprained his ankle and we spent a bit of time in the ER tonight. This is also a head's up to say that there might not be an update tomorrow since he'll be home sick. I'll need to help him around the house. :/ Bless his heart!

Save Old Navy!
Currently watching: CSI: Miami

Currently feeling: HOT AS FIRE
So AOL released a list the other day talking about brands that might go under in 2010. On that list? Old Navy! I cannot let this happen. That's my absolute favorite place to get a great bargain and cute clothes. How on earth can they keep Gap and Banana Republic going but not Old Navy? During this recession, I can afford way more things at Old Navy. Yes, I'm bitter. Anyway, here are some recent purchases from there!
2. floral tank
3. striped tank (only I got a light blue)
4. plaid pajama shorts- so comfortable!
5. pink ruffle tank
6-8. black, blue, and purple flip-flops
I also got a blue v-neck with a heart-shaped peace sign on it. So cute! Thank goodness for 20% off coupons!

Bea Arthur
This is a special Saturday post to pay tribute the wonderfully funny and brilliant actress named Bea Arthur. Bea died this morning at the age of 86. She played my favorite Golden Girl, Dorothy. This is an extremely sad day for me. :(

Once again, I just have to bring attention to Lady GaGa. She's in Paris right now. This was the outfit she just wore out.
She looks like she is wearing a quilt...a quilt that adds 20+ lbs. to her frame. Honestly, that is not a good fit. I give her mad props for walking and not falling in those shoes! And I really like the umbrella! If she just changed the fit of the dress and lost the hat, this outfit would be genius.

Happy Earth Day!
There are many things you can do to protect our planet. They can be simple and small!
Such as:
- unplug electronics when not using them
- turn the light out when you leave the room
- turn the water off while brushing your teeth
- use a reusable coffee sleeve instead of the cardboard ones
- take in your own coffee mug when getting coffee (Starbucks even offers 10% off, if you do that!)
- use a reusable tote bag when shopping
- recycle
- don't throw away batteries (dispose of them properly)
- turn your thermostat to a higher degree during the summer
- buy a filter and something like a SIGG bottle instead of always using bottles
- use cold water when doing laundry
- using the dishwasher actually uses less water than washing and rinsing them by hand
- if you have a backyard, think of using a clothesline instead of a clothes dryer
- use every single page in a notebook
Tell me some ways that you are protecting our beautiful planet! :)

Lady GaGa has been in London the past few days. I'm going to share her outfits from last night and today. She...uhhh...definitely has a style of her own.
She wore this out last night. Tape on the breasts? First off, that just seems painful. Secondly, would it not just be easier to buy a sexy lacy bra or camisole to wear under the shirt? I'm not really feeling those crazy shoulder things.
This was today while shopping. The outfit looks fine when I look past the crazy embellishments around the shoulders. As a matter of fact, I am drooling over her shoes as we speak!

Urban Decay Friends and Family
Currently watching: Rachael Ray
Currently thinking: what to have for dinner
Currently feeling: annoyed
I got super excited when I found out it was Friends and Family time over at Urban Decay! That's 30% off of all of their products! I thought I was finally going to be able to get some things that I have had my eyes on. And then the inevitable happened...they don't ship to Canada. ATTENTION TO BIG COMPANIES- LEARN HOW TO SHIP TO CANADA! We are right beside the States. How difficult is it?! It's ridiculous. I am sick of places like Gap and Old Navy that don't ship here. If we have your store here, then you need to learn to ship here- minus the ridiculous shipping prices that Urban Outfitters thinks that they can get away with. Sometimes I think this is the downfall of me moving to Canada...
Anyway, I cannot take advantage of the sale. However, my readers in the States can. I recommend the Urban Ammo eyeshadow palette and both of the Primer Potions. :) The code is FNFS9.

So I took advantage of the American Eagle Outfitters sale this weekend and used the free shipping and a 20% off coupon code. I got a cute clutch in gunmetal gray, because I don't have many clutches and I don't think I have any gray purses. And not that I need it, but I also got a pink floral cosmetic case. I plan on using it when traveling. Plus, it matches what I'm doing in my bathroom. :)

P.S.- If I go missing at all this week, it's because I may have to restore my computer.

Today is a recipe! This is super easy to make. I made a batch just last week to enjoy. :)
Mozzarella Cheesesticks
1 package of mozzarella string cheese
bread crumbs
3 eggs
salt and pepper
Italian Seasoning
non-stick spray (preferably butter flavored)
dipping sauce of your choice
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cut each string cheese stick in half. So if you want 8 cheesesticks, you'll need 4 pieces of string cheese.
3. You'll need two different bowls. In one, put the eggs and beat them. And in one, put the bread crumbs. With the bread crumbs, add your salt, pepper, and other seasonings.
4. Add half of your cheese halves to the eggs. Coat them well and move them to the bread crumbs. Repeat the process with the eggs and crumbs. Make sure they are very coated.
5. Spray pan. Add the first half of your cheesesticks to the pan.
6. Now do the the second half of the cheesesticks and repeat step 4. Add to pan.
7. Spray the top of the cheesesticks as well.
8. Put in oven for approximately 10 minutes.
Eat while still hot! Honestly, they taste just as good as what you get at restaurants and it's way cheaper. Enjoy and let me know if you try to make them!

Je t'aime Quebec City.
Currently thinking: I should get up and do something!

*Entrance to Ice Hotel
The following day, we woke up early for some breakfast at Allegro. Then, we headed out to explore old Quebec City. It's really beautiful. It reminded me of a combination of Paris and London, or at least what I imagine those cities to be like. We did some shopping in a LOT of stores, because I could not stop falling in love with things every corner I turned. For lunch, we went to Crepe Breton. I love the name of that place- so tongue-in-cheek. I got a wonderful strawberry crepe with fresh cream all over it. Ooooh, I was in Heaven at that moment! After snapping away picture after picture, we left for our ride to the Hotel de Glace.
The Ice Hotel. What is to be said other than it is beyond impressive? Tres magnifique? Parfait? Oui, c'est parfait.:) Everything is made of ice. Everything! There were ice carvings all around. Tables and chairs with furs on them so that you could sit down. The themed rooms were impressive. The beds are made of ice with lights underneath them. There is a wooden crate put on top of that, followed by a covered mattress. They give you thermal sleeping bags for the night.

*Our room- Suite #7
But I'm jumping the gun there by talking about the next day, so let's get back to Wednesday evening. We toured the Ice Hotel and I learned my way around. We had dinner at their Auberge restaurant which was quite fancy. It ended up being perfect for our anniversary. Afterwards, we went to the ice bar in the hotel for our welcome cocktail in a glass made of ice. That was really neat! We got to try ice-sculpting while we were in the bar area. Haha! That was more fun than I thought it would be. Mine said "W ♥ L" and Larry's was a cat and I wrote Jade under it for him. :P Then, I went down the ice slide in the lobby. That was crazy fun!
With all of the ice, it got pretty slippery. I almost fell three times and I did actually fall once right on pure ice. Yeah, my knee and back did not like that. Luckily, no one was around. I was able to take my time getting up and walking it off. The cold air did not make it any better, but the jacuzzi later on did. I managed to make it all winter in Toronto without falling. I go to the Ice Hotel and on the first night- SLAM. Wonderful.
After waking up the next day, we had breakfast at Auberge and toured the hotel once more to say goodbye to it. It's Sunday now, so they have already started tearing it down as I type this. :( We then hit the road for home. For lunch/dinner, we stopped at St. Hubert for lunch. It's a restaurant that serves rotisserie chicken. It was pretty good. I had a lovely chicken and brie sandwich. The rest of the trip was boring as it was just us, the open road, and playing really loud music to keep us going!
To see more of my pictures, you can go to my Flickr (just click the pictures above). I will also be making an album on facebook when I get the chance. :) I had an amazing time and a wonderful trip. I find myself missing it right now and wanting to be back there. That's how I know it was good...when it leaves you thinking about it and wanting more. It was a trip I won't forget.
If given the chance, please travel to Quebec City. If you don't get the chance to stay at the Ice Hotel, you can still take a tour of it. It's a heck of an experience.
XOXO ♥
