If you don't like hauls/gifts posts, then please scroll past this entry or click the "x" at the top of the page. I do not say that with menace, but just that it is common sense. :) I personally love seeing what people get! So if you made a Christmas list in your blog, link me to it! Or share what your favorite gift is that you received or gave someone this year!

A dog lover's pin from Avon and three bracelets with charms to add to my collection. My husband picked a bunch of charms that made him think of me. They were all very thoughtful. I especially love the one that says "I love my boys." That's what I call my baby cousins and brother. So that charm is extremely close to my heart and my new favorite.
My husband works in advertising so I got little cookies from his clients. I got a new pair of chopsticks, two Old Navy giftcards, and a Walmart card based solely on the fact that it has polar bears on it!
Mario Party 8! I've been wanting this awhile!
I always get magazines in my stocking. My stocking is huge, so these fill it up quickly. Magazines- Everyday with Rachael Ray, In Style, Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, Marie Claire, Flare (Canadian), UK Glamour, Nylon.
There haven't been that many CDs that I've really wanted lately, but all of these were on my list!
Yeah, I'm just a little addicted to DVDs. :) Those two Golden Girls DVDs complete the series in my collection. Golden Girls FTW.
Viva La Juicy giftset. Perfume, purse spray, body lotion. This bottle is one of the prettiest in my collection by far.
Skincare! Polar bear bubble bath from Avon (because I'm obsessed with polar bears), Cetaphil moisturizer, and Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment. Reviews to follow on Cetaphil and Clean & Clear.
Makeup items. Three Coastal Scents palettes (shimmer, warm, concealer), MUFE palette (empty for my already owned MUFE shadows), MAC lip kit, Revlon ColorStay foundation, L'Oreal Concealer, Coastal Scents lipgloss, L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, two Rimmel lipsticks, Maybelline Dream Matte powder, Nivea lipbalm, Benetint Pocket Pal, and clear Great Lash mascare. Reviews to follow on many of these.
Perfume sampler. It's much like the one that Sephora has. I got ten perfume samples that I can't remember what they are at the top of my head. And I can try them all and figure out which one I like the most. It comes with a certificate to get a full-sized bottle of the one that you choose. I love it! I'll be sure to do a review on each of the perfumes in the kit. :)
Not pictured:
Starbucks gift card
Maple Leafs tickets
tickets to 2 Toronto Marlies hockey games
movie gift certificate
money
Olive Garden gift card
Applebee's gift card
polar bear painting
polar bear calendar
COOKIES...nom nom nom... :D
I'll post what I got while I was home later! I count that haul among my Christmas gifts. :) It might have to wait until I get home to take pictures. I'm away from home all week, though. I'm pretty excited about some of my finds!

Baby, It's Fashion! Pt. 3

Time for my Best and Worst Dressed List for the previous year! I've done this in 2007 and 2008. :) These are in no particular order. Here are my top 5s! Feel free to share in the comments which stars sizzled and fizzled for you in the past year!

1. Lauren Conrad- I love that she has fun with fashion! This fashion designer is learning what looks right on her.
2. Miley Cyrus- I think she dresses appropriately for her age on the red carpet. In real life, maybe not. I've loved almost every dress that she has worn to awards shows.
3. Taylor Swift- I think she is quickly becoming the queen of glamour! Many of her dresses sparkle, much like her personality.
4. Emma Watson- She's making a name for herself in the fashion world alongside her acting skills.
5. Jennifer Aniston- She knows how to dress for her personality, shape, and skintone. She makes even the most basic of things look great!
Honorable Mentions: Rachel Bilson, Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, Blake Lively, Nicole Richie, and Anne Hathaway

1. Taylor Momsen- This girl has forgotten her age and it often looks like she has also forgotten her pants!
2. Leighton Meester- I think she needs the stylist on Gossip Girl to help her with her own wardrobe. She tries to be high fashion, but all I see is a wreck of trends meshed together.
3. Madonna- I just wish that she would begin dressing her age. Though to be fair, if I had her body...I might not want to either. Plus, I really just don't get the bunny ears trend that is happening right now.
4. Rihanna- I like that she takes chances, but they always seem to backfire. When she downplays it is when she gets it closer to right.
5. Kristen Stewart- I don't often mind her dress choices, I just don't like that she tries to hard to make it look like she doesn't care. Whether it is disheveled hair, sneakers as a shoe choice, or fumbling with her awards speeches...If she really didn't care, she wouldn't try so hard to prove it. If that makes any sense!
Honorable Mentions: Glenn Close, M.I.A., Paula Abdul, Paris Hilton, and Megan Fox.
P.S.- I'm now at 50 followers, which means that you can be on the lookout for my contest to start soon! :)

Top Cosmetics of 2009
Currently at: my MIL's
Currently doing: watching Nan
Currently feeling: excited about going to the Leafs hockey game tonight!
Like last year, I have decided to compile a list of my favorite cosmetic products that I tried and loved during the year!
1.MAC Fix+. I use this mainly to moisturize my face before foundation, to wet my sponges, and to foil my eyeshadow.
2. MAC Studio Fix concealer. I have used this as a concealer, but I prefer to use it to cancel out pigmentation in my lips. It has a long staying power for that.
3. MAC MSF Natural. This is hands down the best powder I have ever used. It can be layered on to be a foundation or used lightly to set makeup. It just glides right on.
4. MAC Painterly Paint Pot. Words can't describe how much I love this as a base for eyeshadows. The colors pop amazingly when layered on top of this.
5. Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette. You either love this or you hate it, I think. I personally love it. It's easy to travel with and I rarely hit pan on regular-sized eyeshadows so these are a good size for me.
6. Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin. This champagne-colored base adds a bit of shimmer and a slight change of color to eyeshadows. It can make a boring look pop and doubles your options!
7. Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin. My favorite eyeshadow! Pairing this with the Sin UDPP is my go-to neutral look.
8. Rimmel London Long-Lasting Finish lipstick in Vintage. This is a really pretty pink and it's affordable. It's a win-win situation!
9. NARS blush in Orgasm. I'm always looking for new blushes to try, but I always go back to this one. I like to play with it and layer other blushes and highlighters on top. My favorites to layer it with right now are MAC's Porcelain Pink MSF or Maybelline's Dream Mousse blush in Peach Satin.
10. Maybelline Pulse Perfection mascara. I think this is another thing where you love it or hate it. This mascara curls, separates, and lengthens my lashes in a very short time.
MAC Creme d'Nude lipstick
MAC C-Thru Lipglass
Maybelline Mineral Power concealer
MAC Style Snob eyeshadow
Benefit Creaseless eyeshadow in Busy Signal
NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Crayon in Milk
MAC Porcelain Pink MSF
MAC Colour Crafted lipstick
MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque
FTC- The Maybelline Pulse Perfection mascara was sent to me months ago to try out and review for a company. My review of it is honest and based on personal opinion.

Upcoming Fall Trends
Currently listening: Why Haven't I Heard From You by Reba
Currently planning: my weekend
Currently feeling: in a country mood
Time to talk about fashion trends that we'll be seeing this autumn!
2. Rock-n-Roll. Studs, leather, chains. It's glam rock, baby! Live it up!
3. Sparkles! Whether it be a sequin dress or a metallic top, you need to be shining. For the less daring, include the look in your accessories instead.
4. The 80s are back (unfortunately...)! Big shoulders, denim on denim, neon colors, acid wash, crazy leggings...Oh yes, it's all back. Take advantage of this because it will actually be OK to clash again!
5. Plaid. This is one of my personal favorites. I love plaid!
6. Besides purple, black or hot pink is the way to go. Especially head-to-toe black (as seen on the Narciso Rodriguez runway)!
7. Velvet. This has been a mainstay in fall trends for awhile now. It's such a great texture for the season. You can incorporate it any way that you wish. My favorite is to include it in accessories like my purse or shoes.
8. Leopard and zebra print items. I incorporate these in small doses. Anything outrageous and you come across as cheap, in my opinion. And only wear one animal print article at one time!
9. Bangles. The bigger and chunkier, the better!
10. Vests. Sweater, denim, leather...it doesn't even matter what it's made of. I personally like this one. It's a nice alternative to a cardigan sometimes! Or be funky and layer one with a cardigan on top!
Which trend are you excited to sport this upcoming autumn?

Baby, It's Fashion! Part Deux
Currently listening: Circus by Britney Spears
Currently reading: Twilight
Currently feeling: cold
Last year I did my own version of a "Mr. Blackwell" list (located here). And sadly, this will be the first year since the 60s that there will not be a list. So I have decided to compile another list again like last year. It's been exactly a year today! I'm mixing it up this time by offering 5 best and 5 worst instead of just doing 10 worst. :)
Top 5 Worst Dressed Celebs in 2008 (no particular order):
1. Mary-Kate Olsen- She is always a hit or a miss. I can never quite figure out what she is going to do next. I love when she goes classic, but she more often goes for a grunge look.
2. Oprah- We get it. You gained the weight back. Been there and done that! However, at this point you should have a better idea of how to dress for your shape. Stop wearing ill-fitting outfits or colors that don't work for you.
3. Tilda Swinton- This dress looked like a Hefty trash bag. And none of her other looks are any better. I admire the androgynous side of her, but that does not mean you should forget style.
4. Madonna- At this point, I'm never surprised at the ensembles that she chooses.
5. Britney Spears- To be fair, she is kind of in between my lists of good and bad. Earlier last year was bad for her, fashion (and personal) wise. By the end of 2008, she was looking pretty fantastic at the MTV Awards and doing promotional stops for Circus.
Top 5 Best Dressed Celebs in 2008 (no particular order):
1. Gwyneth Paltrow- Holy smokes! She was rockin' those beautiful legs every chance she got!
2. Rachel Bilson- She has that wonderful casual chic look about her. I love pretty much everything she chooses to wear.
3. Anne Hathaway- While having a few misses, she had more hits. She always rocks the elegant gowns!
4. Eva Mendes- How playful and fun she was towards fashion in 2008!
5. Natalie Portman- She should wear Lanvin more often. Actually, she should wear purple more often too!
Honorable Mentions for Best Dressed:
Nicole Richie- Having a baby was good for her! She sobered up, became more mature, and really calmed down. And she started dressing so classy, while not diminishing who she is.
Blake Lively- This girl has looks! It's amazing to see how much style she has on and off the Gossip Girl sets.
XOXO ♥
