5 Songs I Have on Repeat - Spring 2025

Here are five songs that I cannot get enough of right now! In return, feel free to share some songs you're loving currently and have discovered or rediscovered. And if you happen to use Tidal, here's my profile to follow each other.

songs, playlist, tidal, lady gaga, ariana grande, eagles, solomon burke, sabrina carpenter, how bad do u want me, twilight zone, i can't tell you why, cry to me, juno, dirty dancing, spring 2025, on repeat, tidal music, wendybanner

How Bad Do U Want Me by Lady Gaga
I legit hear why people are reminded of Taylor Swift on this one and I'm so okay with that. One of my favorite songs on Mayhem, for sure.

twilight zone by Ariana Grande
Oh man, this is a good one. Admittedly, I find Ariana's songs to be hit or miss. The ones I love, I looovvve. This is a big ol' hit to my ears.

I Can't Tell You Why by Eagles
My favorite Eagles song and I've been playing it more recently. It's so sultry. Who else out there is like me and always says the Eagles instead of the correct Eagles moniker? I just can't drop the "the". It doesn't sound right even if it is correct. Petition to have the "the" added.

Cry to Me by Solomon Burke
Any Dirty Dancing fan should be familiar with this one even if you don't listen to older songs. While it wasn't on the soundtrack, it is featured in the movie when Baby is going to visit Johnny's cabin and they dance. The vibes of this song are immaculate and timeless.

Juno by Sabrina Carpenter
Bringing it back to current times, I cannot get enough of Juno. The lyrics are fun and the beat is catchy, not surprising in the slightest since it's Sabrina. This song makes me want a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs!😉

 Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fearless Spring Mix 2021

I apologize for not publishing a post last week. I'm still going through some things and I just couldn't bring myself to come on here. I'm still a work in progress, but I'm getting there. It's not usually like me to not blog, but these are not normal times. I find myself needing a little bit of the normalcy back though, so what better way than to do that than with an easy enough blog topic? Music! I thought I would share a few songs that have been on my radar and wearing out my replay button recently.

And as always, I'd love for you to give me any recommendations of what you've been listening to and loving. This is the Fearless Spring Mix, because heck yes I'm celebrating Taylor's new version. I'm also trying to encompass that feeling - fearless. I need more of that! This mix features new and old and I hope you give those songs that are new to you, if any, a chance. 💜

This Is Halloween Playlist

Something fun for today! I thought I would share my Halloween playlist from Spotify. I'm still actively adding to it so if you have any fun ones to add, send 'em my way! I've linked my actual playlist in this post and you can see everything I have so far. This post is to show off some of my personal favorites from the list. A few obvious and not-so-obvious choices!

What are your plans for Halloween? They've suggested canceling most plans where I am, which is fine with me. We typically take in a haunted walk, fort tour, ride around to see decorated houses, or something along those lines but I'm just as happy to stay in and watch Halloween themed shows/episodes and movies. It's going to be a strange holiday season, for sure.

bblogger, bbloggers, bbloggerca, bbloggersca, this is halloween, playlist, spotify, lifestyle blog, fleetwood mac, annie lennox, haunting, halloween playlistFleetwood Mac - Silver Springs
This may not seem like an obvious choice, but hear me out. It's one of my absolute faves of Fleetwood Mac's year-round, but it fits in with Halloween. The lyrics, "Time cast a spell on you, but you won't forget me" and "I follow you down until the sound of my voice will haunt you"? Genius. Stevie at her finest, in my humble opinion.

Michael Jackson - Thriller
Shocker, huh? Classic for a reason.

Selena Gomez - Wolves
"I've been down the darkest alleys, saw the dark side of the moon, to get to you."

Annie Lennox - I Put a Spell On You
So many versions of this song and Bette's is certainly up there from Hocus Pocus. I just think that Annie's voice is beautifully haunting on anything and everything.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Time Warp
One of the funnest songs around. How can you not want to dance to it?! "It's the pelvic thrust, they really drive you insane."

The Nightmare Before Christmas - This is Halloween
I can't tell you how often this song gets in my head and I sing it throughout the house. The movie and soundtrack is so perfect and the fact that it can play from Halloween right until Christmas? Here for it.

The Eagles - Witchy Woman
"She held me spellbound in the night." Even better, this sounded amazing live so I relive it in my head every time I hear it. Same with Hotel California. Superb in every way.

Gerard Way - Baby You're a Haunted House
I could be wrong (it happens 😜), but I don't think this song really made it over here in Canada or the US so this might be a new one for some of you. Well, Gerard Way may not be new to you as he is the frontman of My Chemical Romance. This is such a fun song with a bit of a retro vibe.

I'll probably be listening to this playlist this weekend and all the way up to the 31st. Like I said, I'm still adding songs so it stays fresh. The song title, lyrics, whatever sounds haunting...they are all fair game to make it. And maybe you'll hear a new song or two!

Staying Home Playlist - Songs I'm Loving Right Now

I'm staying home. A lot. Dance parties in the kitchen while cooking and singing sessions in the shower are definitely up there on my list for preferred mental breaks! I probably could have added more than these ten songs, but these are the ones truly wearing out my play button. I'm holding out for the new Gaga and Killers albums! And if rumors are right about an Adele album in the fall, I'm ready. So ready.

As always, when I share songs I'm loving, I appreciate when you do the same. Let me know what you're listening to so I can give it a listen! While this list is mainly pop, I do listen to a bit of everything. Y'all should see my Spotify plays. They're all over the place! LOL!

  • Adore You by Harry Styles - This and Watermelon Sugar have my heart, but they hit differently.
  • Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish - So beautiful with an impact.
  • Caution by The Killers - Classic Killers vibes and that's a good thing.
  • Stupid Love by Lady Gaga - I tried Rain On Me, but my 2am brain didn't like it. I'll see if it grows on me. Love this one!
  • July by Noah Cyrus - Noah's ballads are amazing.
  • God Only Knows by The Beach Boys - This along with  Kokomo are my fave Beach Boys tunes.
  • Break Up Song by Little Mix - I love a catchy chorus and this one delivers!

Christmas Vibes Playlist 2019

I live for Christmas music. It instantly makes me happier! Am I the type to start singing Jingle Bells in July because it pops into my head? Yes, yes I am. I thought I would share some of my favorite songs, some old and some new. You can find all of these and then some in my Christmas playlist on Spotify! What's your favorite Christmas tune? I have a few, but the top of my list is probably I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas by Gayla Peevey and I hardly ever hear it on the radio!

I have the playlist on shuffle right now as I type. I hope you'll give the ones listed below a listen! There has been some great new songs that will hopefully turn into classics, because we can only have so many versions of songs like White Christmas before we just realllllly need something new, am I right? If you've got a holiday song that I need to hear, drop it in the comments! I listen to everything, especially in the Christmas/holiday category!

Fallen for Fall Playlist

I love sharing playlists and what I'm listening to, because it also gives me the opportunity to ask what you're listening to. I genuinely want to know, because I find some of the best songs by recommendations of others. So feel free to share with me! I recently read a new study that suggests most people stop actively searching for new music by the age range of 30-33. That boggles my mind. Maybe it's because my world has revolved around music since I was born and it's tied with reading for my #1 escape. I listen to so many different genres and artists and to think about upcoming talent that I might miss? That is my idea of torture.

So what about you? Do your ears still search out new music and sounds? I hope my search never stops and I just keep ending up with more bops as the years tack on to my life. Here's a mix of 15 old and new songs pumping me up on these autumn days!

My Summer Heat Playlist for 2018

I love a good playlist! Like legit, you can find me lurking on playlists on Spotify all of the time. It's so easy to just have one playing while I'm doing anything. So I thought, lemme put together a little playlist of some fire songs that have been getting me through this ridiculously hot summer. Enter my Summer Heat playlist!

I could have added a lot more (especially retro, because I'm a 70s music gal a LOT of the time), but I reined myself in and limited it to 10. But now that I think about it, I might just do a throwback summer playlist too. That could be fun to share, if any of you are into that!

For now, all of the tracks below are current. But I hope maybe one or two might be new to you. At least, Jessie Reyez. She's an up and coming Canadian musician. Please give her a music a listen, because she is going places with that soulful voice! Amy Winehouse vibes, for sure.

If you feel so inclined (and I hope you do), let me know a song or two that you've been jamming to this summer!

Spring Break 2018 Road Trip Playlist

I might be late for some of you, but spring break is coming up! Granted, I'm not in school anymore but my wedding anniversary is this coming Sunday so it always feels like I still get a spring break vacation. I cannot wait to hit the road, even though we're staying semi-close to home. And one of my favorite parts about a long car ride is getting to make a playlist to listen to.

I keep a lot on my iPod to please both of our musical tastes and my husband will add any new songs that he wants, as well. Here's what I am personally adding to our playlist on this trip! Some of it is throwback tunes, because I am LIVING for my 90s music right now. 90s anything, really. Obsessed.

15 Songs Currently Getting Me Through My Days Working at Home

Now, this isn't geared specifically at those who work from home. It's just songs that I have had on repeat that make my days just that much better. I like a good mix of tempos that typically depends on the task I'm doing. If it's my photography or cooking, give me the upbeat stuff to keep me moving. If it's editing and writing, I most often prefer slower. So here are 15 songs that are currently helping get me through my work day. And do please share a favorite or two of yours and I'll be sure to look for it on Spotify!

Spring Playlist - Current Favorites

I thought I would share the songs that are getting me through spring...on endless repeats. I am the type of person who falls hard for a song and plays it a gazillion times until I am tired of it. And in some cases, I just never get tired of it. Speaking of songs I never get tired of, When Doves Cry is on that list.

I was really shocked by Prince's death yesterday. I was never a big fan, but When Doves Cry was number one on the charts when I was born and I have always felt connected to it. Maybe that sounds weird, but songs resonate with you for different reasons and I always had a bond with this one- like he wrote it just for my ears to hear. So I'll be listening to that song a few times today and jamming my little heart out. Thank you, Prince.

I listen to a little bit of anything and everything, so feel free to share some songs you are loving right now. They can be old or new and any genre. If Spotify or YouTube has it, I'll be sure to give it a listen. Hope you all have a great weekend!
