Coming in today with a quick review of the complexion pencil by Cheekbone Beauty! I grabbed this in my birthday haul when I was getting my free gift from Sephora, so I've had over a month of using it and thought I would pop in here and give a swatch and initial thoughts on it. This is my second Cheekbone Beauty item, the first being a lip gloss. I hope to support them more as an Indigenous woman-owned Canadian brand, but also because I hear good things about their other offerings. So if you have tried them, please let me know what else I should try!
This is the complexion pencil in fair 1, but it comes in 15 shades that I think would work for most people. Fair 1 is for fair, porcelain, and cool complexions. It's a pretty good color match for me. My favorite pros of this formula is how creamy and medium to full coverage it is. It does not tug on your skin at all and it's caused no problems for my dry skin. It blends like a dream. With it being in pencil format, it's easy to throw in your travel bag. I always have concerns about pencil formats being dry, but not this one. It exceeded my expectations, honestly. It is available on Cheekbone Beauty and Sephora Canada. At $25 CAD, I'd say it's on the more affordable side of things especially when you think about how long it will last. It's a fairly sized pencil at 3g. Other things to note are it is vegan and cruelty free. It is also multi-use as a highlight, contour, primer, and concealer. You know what I always say if you aren't new around here - that's a steal!Let me know if you have tried these and what you think or if I have put them on your radar (and they definitely now should be!). Hope you're having a great week! 😎
