My Book Outlet Birthday Haul

My birthday recently passed and I'm still taking advantage of some of the discounts. Bonus points to the companies that have a lengthier amount of time for redemption! One birthday discount I put to use was for Book Outlet. Combined with our reward points and cash back with Rakuten (my referral link), I got everything I ordered for under $70 CAD! There's three books I'm not showing because they are part of Larry's Christmas gifts. What a deal for 7 books!

They have a pretty decent selection. You may not find everything on your TBR list, but you won't step away disappointed. If you're anything like me, you actually end up adding more books to your wishlist from browsing. Oops! If there's one thing I do miss, it is the Book Outlet's physical location. Everything is now only online, but they do have both an American and Canadian website.

This haul showcases my love for romance and classics. Two of my favorite genres! I actually haven't read a classic in a while, so I need to rectify that soon. If you're on Goodreads or Fable, I'm happy to connect! I prefer Fable and that's where you can find my reviews. It's also great for tracking TV and is more social than GR. The breakdowns on the profile are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Howards End by E.M. Forster
This has been on my radar but I am not as familiar with it, having never seen the movie or TV mini series or having to read it in school. I will say that I do want to watch those, especially the movie as I adore Emma Thompson.

The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey
I haven't read any Tessa Bailey yet, but this one sounded up my alley. An age gap, close proximity, single dad story? Yeah, those are all catnip for me. And he's a hockey player? Well, be still my beating heart.

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez
Another author I have not tried yet. I've heard from so many people that this is one of her best, so I decided that Yours Truly is the place to start. I honestly bought this blind on that alone and don't know much about the plot aside from they are both doctors who form a deep connection.

Torn by Carian Cole
I recently finished Don't Kiss the Bride by Carian and holy smokes, what a read! I gave that one four stars. Torn and Don't Kiss the Bride seem to be recommended together quite often. If there's one thing about me when it comes to romance, I love a good dose of forbidden, taboo, angst, and slow burn. I'll always prefer those to instant love. I'm sure the subject matter of this book isn't for everyone with the FMC falling for her father's best friend, but it sure is for me. Yeah, I'm going to be all over this one. 😚

Let me know if you have read any of these or give me some recommendations! This haul may be focused around romance, but I read everything. My TBR is full of different genres!
