December 2021 Favorites

I'm still on 2021, but not for long! Not that I mind elongating the holiday season a little longer. I'm hoping to have a post up on Christmas and my top products of 2021 this week and next and that should round out the last of my 2021 posts. I don't know what 2022 holds, but as of right now, it feels much of the same from last year. We're safe and healthy, so I start this new year being grateful for that. I may have to search harder some days to find something to be grateful for, but there is always something.

My favorites last month were a bit low-key and not my typical holiday fare. No red lipstick, because my mask would cover it. No pretty eyeshadows, because I honestly never left the car and chose curbside delivery. Just the bare minimal to make me feel a little more human, but with as little effort as possible. Not complaining here, because I absolutely do not mind the little effort part. 😂

  • Jade Roller - I picked this one up in Ulta on one of my last trips home (I miss you, SC!). I put these off for so long, but I love it. It's so relaxing!
  • Urban Decay Hydromaniac Foundation - It's not exactly the most mask-friendly foundation, but it's been great for my dry skin. I'm more of a makeup sponge person, but I also enjoy applying this one with the ELF Buffing Foundation brush (seen below). So really it is two favorites in one!
  • Fresh Rose Lip Cream - It's still not my absolute HG lip balm, but it is good. I think it is hyped up a little more than I am willing to hype it up. I'm not opposed to purchasing it in the future, though I would wait for a discount. I definitely feel like lip balm is not a step to be skipped when I'm wearing face masks so often.
  • Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Perfume - I live for this. Absolutely live for this scent. I have put off purchasing it for probably near a decade now, but it remains on my wishlist. Perfume is just one of those extravagant purchases that I have a hard time making. Are you someone that splurges on scents? Looking forward to the day that I finally do. For now, this little sample is held very dearly!

What were some of your favorites from December? Did you get or give some new beauty items as gifts? I'd love to hear about them!
