Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup

I was sent a box of goodies to try from Burt's Bees. One of those items is the Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup in the shade 1005 Porcelain. I was also sent the Nourishing Mascara, 2 Lip & Cheek Sticks from their All Aglow line, and a highlighter and bronzer stick also from their All Aglow line. I will have a post coming on the All Aglow sticks soon, though I am wearing everything below!

Nude by Nature Sheer Light Pressed Illuminator

Coming straight from Australia, we've got Nude by Nature in its full rose gold glory in Canada exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart. I was sent a few products to test and review and one of those is this Sheer Light Pressed Illuminator. Unfortunately, it did not hold its own during the shipping process and arrived to me broken. That might be something to take note of if you're hoping to order this powder online. It was a mess when I first opened the compact!

I did this in February and enjoyed it. Aveeno MAXGLOW Sleep Mask, Peel Off Mask, and Infusion Drops

I was sent these Aveeno products to test and review. Seeing as I already love Aveeno products, I was super down to get into these products from their new MaxGlow line. I love the Positively Radiant products...I used to love the exfoliating pads under the same line, but I think they have been discontinued because I never see them anymore. Never fails!

Within the new MaxGlow line, I have the No-Mess Sleep Mask, Peel Off Mask, and the Infusion Drops. See below for what I think of each product, along with close-ups of the applicators.

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Dreamer

When these went on sale again, I finally grabbed another shade. I've talked about Loyalist a lot and rave about it and this formula to anyone who will listen. I love Loyalist so much and it's a great nude, but I was looking forward to trying a shade in the pink family with warmer weather coming. A girl needs options!

This post won't be so much about the formula, as really just sharing the shade and swatches. To read my thoughts on the formula, see my post where I reviewed and swatched Loyalist. In regards to the formula, I have read about people finding it pills on their lips. I've only tried these two lighter shades and haven't experienced that problem (wondering if it's more to do with the darker shades?), but I've heard sticking to one layer helps.

InstaMonth for March 2019

I always come into April feeling refreshed and ready to go. I'm 99% sure that has to do with our vacation we always take at the end of March to coincide with our wedding anniversary. The other percent is probably from the spring cleaning and organizing. It just makes me so happy!

Because of those things and taking a bit of a blogging break for almost two weeks, I've felt more productive this month already. One big thing I crossed off my list was getting my US passport renewal application done and mailed off (today!). I haven't been home (or to the States at all, actually) since around the end of 2012. It has been a loooong time and that will change this year! I can't even remotely put my level of excitement into words here. I have honestly cried and had the shakes so many times just thinking about visiting home.

March 2019 Favorites

It's been over a week since I last updated. I had good intentions of blogging last week after my wedding anniversary and vacation, but my heart just wasn't in it. I think I just needed the break! I still updated Instagram, but I was rarely on Pinterest, Twitter, or on here. As someone who always tells others that breaks are important and they should not feel ashamed for taking time away, I finally listened to my own advice. Now, I feel refreshed and ready to step back in.

The best way to do that is with one of my favorite types of posts - monthly favorites! Short and sweet and easy to maneuver my way back into the blogging game. I know it was only a week-ish, but it takes a bit to get back into the blogging and social media routine!

• Aveeno MAXGLOW Peel Off Mask - I gave this a mini review on my Instagram here. I've had some misses with peel off masks, but this one works really well...as long as you use a thick layer.
• Biotherm Blue Therapy Red Algae Cream - Works well with fine lines around the eyes!
• Essie Carousel Coral - I'm pretty sure this is part of their permanent line. It's a fun color for spring and summer. I'm already surrounding myself with all of the pastels!
• Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Loyalist - One of my most popular posts and pins on Pinterest and for good reason. This deserves all of the spotlight it gets! I love the formula so much, I just bought a second shade (coming soon on here!).
• Nude by Nature Translucent Setting Powder - My favorite product I have tried by Nude by Nature. If you're looking for a new setting powder that doesn't look caked on, I suggest this one as a possibility.
