Five Friday Faves

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday, so I'm making today's post short and sweet to get a head start on our plans and celebrations! I haven't even filled out his card or wrapped his gifts, so I've got to shift into gear. 

I hate wrapping and put it off as long as I can, which makes me especially my own worst enemy at Christmas. Larry, however, loves wrapping though he goes through tape like it grows on trees because he insists on no seams. I always joke I'd get him to wrap his own gifts if I could. I have grand hopes of always doing a better job than I do, but I just am not good at it. Are you a wrapping connoisseur? Someone tell me I'm not the only failure at wrapping.😄

On to the post! Here are five Friday favorites that have been on my radar.

Book: Second Edition by Cleo White 

Cleo might just be my new author obsession. I have devoured 13 of her books so far this year. Second Edition, I think may just be my favorite of hers. Tropes include single dad/nanny and age gap. Josephine and Ellis have great chemistry. There's autism representation with his daughter Zoe. The title very much plays a role in the story.

Song: twilight zone by Ariana Grande 

I don't know what it is, but there's something about this song that just hits all of the right spots in an effortless way. 

Food: Pickle Menu at Popeyes

I'm a pickle crazed gal, always have been. I'm very particular about them though, like I'm not here for the bread and butter pickles. I tried the fried pickles and the pickle glaze chicken sandwich. If doing the fried pickles, you need the blackened ranch sauce. I know what they were going for with the sandwich, a very specific chicken place that serves a fil-A sandwich. I personally think they delivered a really tasty sandwich. The pickle taste is slight, but there. I enjoyed it and thought it was well done! 

TV: Gravity Falls

This skipped my radar when it first came out. We finished Curses on Apple TV+ and I was looking up follow up alternatives when this popped up as an option. We've been enjoying it. I'm aware how biased I might sound given my name, but Wendy is the coolest. Hands down my favorite Gravity Falls resident! We have one episode left and I'm already sad to end the story.

Life: New Refrigerator 

Our old Whirlpool was biting the dust. She at points stopped working in either the refrigerator or freezer sections. She took to leaking on our floor more days than not. And then the freezer door stopped shutting all the way. We put it off as long as we could before we replaced it. It took ages to find something to fit in our dimensions. I plan on writing a further review of the service and the fridge, but right now I'm so happy to have a working refrigerator that doesn't wet my floor. Otherwise, I was getting ready to create and patent a refrigerator diaper.
