March 2020 Favorites

March. What a month of change in the world, our daily lives, and our view of things. We are at the end of our third week of social distancing and staying home. As someone who is an introverted homebody who spends probably 85% of my time at home anyway, it hasn't been that difficult of a change for me. And my husband has acclimated well to the change of working downtown to being home for work. Changes hitting me right now are more in what to blog or post about, battling my anxiety while staying informed and following the news, and making sure we take a few mental breaks here and there to keep us sane.

Speaking of mental breaks, I'm thisclose to ordering a Nintendo Switch Lite and Animal Crossing New Horizons. It might happen this weekend. I've been wanting the Lite since it came out and Animal Crossing and Cooking Mama is practically sealing the deal for me. For those of you that have it, I see all of you little enablers! Haha!

My favorites this month differ quite a bit from the history of my favorites posts. For starters, I've hardly been wearing makeup at all and have been focusing far more on skincare. I don't know what my monthly faves are going to look like as we continue to stay inside, but I do want to keep sharing them. They just might not be as makeup related on the side of beauty topics.

  • Neutrogena Bright Boost Micro Polish - I got sent the Bright Boost range of skincare. Full reviews are coming. I'm really into this exfoliating polish, because my sensitive skin doesn't react to it. It's gentle and still feels like it does a good job.
  • Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel Cream - This is one of my other faves from the Bright Boost line. It's a really cool hybrid of a gel and cream and feels light on the skin while moisturizing.
  • Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel - My OCD flares up and I have to have anti-bacterial gel with me at all times when out. I mean, now it's a good thing. B&BW are my preferred ones and I especially enjoy their fruity scents. The peach ones are *chef kiss*.
  • Buxom Plumping Lip Polish in Katie - When I have worn makeup, I reach for this for a quick wash of color...usually to walk the dog. I have been craving sitting at my vanity and playing with my makeup again though.
  • Bath & Body Works Pearberry Lotion - Because I've been washing my hands and using hand gel far more than I already was, I find lotion to be incredibly essential. I'm taking more bubble baths, using Epsom salts, moisturizing, etc. Anything to calm my nerves and skin.

I hope this post finds you well, safe, and healthy. My heart goes out to everyone. I urge those of you not taking this whole thing seriously to please open your mind and try to change your way of thinking and living. This is not forever, but you could be taking away someone else's forever. Stay home, save lives. Thanks once again to all of the essential workers and those on the front lines. I wish for no one to take you or your job for granted after this. I appreciate you and thank you.
