I've been testing Vichy's Ultra-Fluid Tinted Sunscreen Lotion for the past few weeks. As someone who loves a good tinted moisturizer that has some SPF, this is the first tinted sunscreen I have tried. With SPF 60, this is a sunscreen first and foremost. Here's my thoughts and my swatch of the "universal tint".
Updated May 11, 2025: This product has slightly changed its name, but is still the same formula!
As someone with fair skin, I am very appreciative of the SPF 60. I swear I can say the word "sunburn" and one will appear. This lotion offers UVA and UVB protection and 80 minutes of wear while being water and sweat resistant. Basically everything you could want during these hot summer months!
I don't always enjoy wearing a full face of makeup or foundation, especially on hot days where it feels like my face is going to melt off. Those days are when I am happy to have products like this around. I get SPF protection and it's tinted, giving me a little coverage and color. I treat this like a regular tinted moisturizer and still use concealer, blush, etc. It layers fine and works well with other products, as you can see below.
The ultra-fluid part is not joking. It's a very fluid formula and works pretty well with my dry skin. I was a little worried about there being an "universal tint". It swatches a little dark on my hand, but it works on my face. How would it look on darker skin tones, though? I mean, you can really sheer it out, but I'd love to know how it works on others.
Also, as a sunscreen, it obviously has the typical sunscreen scent albeit not a super strong one. It doesn't feel oily, so I would think it would work for those of you with oily or combination skin. Nothing in this caused irritation on my sensitive skin. And while I say this is perfect for the hotter months due to being sweat resistant, I can see this being great year-round. It could also be a good choice if you live an active lifestyle and need a sunscreen that can keep up with you.
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I wanted to get this post up today! We're taking tomorrow off to make it a long weekend. :) Hope you all have a great weekend!
