Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Heroine

If you're like me, you view summer as the season made for bright lips! I love going for a lesser impact on the eyes and a bigger "whoa" factor on the lips the minute the temperatures rise. I'm just not one for going bright all over, but I sure have seen some brilliant looks from people who do! If you like bright lips that won't budge all day, I might have the shade and formula just for you.

Today, I'm featuring Maybelline's SuperStay Matte Ink in Heroine and showing off why it is perfect for summer or any time you crave a bright lip!

I won't get into the ins and outs of the formula on this post, as I have already touched on that in this post where I reviewed Loyalist (you can also see my swatches of Dreamer here). I had not seen too many pictures of Heroine anywhere and the tube looks slightly different in color than the actual product. I've usually found them to be pretty close, so this was a bit surprising. I was expecting more of an orangey shade, to be honest!

What I got was a bright pink and I'm not mad at it. It screams summer and is bold, but a doable bold if that makes sense. I do find it feathers a bit, but it goes on opaque in one swipe and I have no issues with it pilling. This formula lasts all day and does not budge. Perfect for bold colors like this, because normally I leave a direct path behind me on every straw, fork, etc. when wearing one!

I think it's pretty obvious that this is one of my favorite liquid lipstick formulas and certainly the one with the longest staying time, making it perfect for long days out. I already own four (Lover swatches still to come!) and I will probably be adding more to my collection, because they are that good.
