It's been so long since I've done a dupe post. But I've got one for you today! When I first got Rimmel London's Trendsetter lipstick, it reminded me a lot of MAC's Velvet Teddy. And Velvet Teddy is one of my absolute favorite lipsticks! So I thought I would put them to the test side-by-side in today's post to see how close they resemble each other. Let's find out if we have a dupe on our hands or not!
I love the idea behind this new launch by Almay! They took the quad format, but made it with one shade in four different finishes. It's pretty darn genius and you're guaranteed to have a cohesive look no matter which ones you choose to use. I was sent the one in Pure Gold, Baby to test and review. I already have my eyes on some of the other choices like Own It and The World is My Oyster. They are all so pretty- see them here!
In April, Kar Yi from According to Kar Yi was my featured blogger. You can read that post and see other past featured blogs under the "blog of the month" label! Being my blog of the month gets you a designated blog post, a sidebar button, and a mention on my Twitter account. The sidebar button stays up all month long. I don't believe in necessarily making bloggers pay for advertising and I'd much rather show you blogs that I really enjoy reading. And I hope you end up enjoying them too!
April was strange on Instagram. I don't know if they changed the algorithm again or not (probably), but my pictures were all over the place with the analytics. Some people are saying that it is because more people are using Stories now instead of the picture features, but I don't know that I believe that. I still think it's the order of the feeds that mess with us the most as viewers and as creators. Getting the chronological option back would be like getting an early Christmas present!

Happy May, everyone! I don't know where April went, but here we are! Despite already having the pictures ready and edited, I dropped the ball on getting an intro up so I've got to be quick and whip this out. It's looking like we might get some storms and my dog is not a fan of thunder.
