Lady Antebellum Concert

One of the benefits of living in a big city is having awesome events often. One of those awesome events happened on Monday, which was Victoria Day here. Lady Antebellum put on a free concert at Dundas Square and I just had to go! They are one of my favorite bands and even better that it was free. That's the best price!

We got there two hours early to get a good spot, but it was directly in the sun. I think it was a mixture of the heat and the crowd (stupid anxiety!), but I nearly fainted and had to leave my spot next to my friend. After sitting in some cold air conditioning in a nearby building and getting a water, I started to feel a little better but still not 100%. I managed to find a spot near the back of the Square to watch the concert. Regardless of losing my close spot due to illness, I still enjoyed the show.My body, however, took a day of rest to come back around.

It was worth it! Seeing both The Killers and Lady Antebellum in a week's time made for a happy Wendy. Lady A was fantastic live and if you enjoy them, they are worth seeing. And their new album Golden? Amazzzzing. Besides Downtown, my favorite track is Goodbye Town. Can't get enough of it!

This is considered my Friday, since my husband is taking tomorrow off. Tomorrow is his birthday, so we're going out for dinner and to see Star Trek Into Darkness. Looking forward to seeing it in IMAX 3D! To my fellow Americans, what are your plans for the holiday weekend? Happy Memorial Day!
