Come on, Sunday!

Currently watching: the Maple Leafs vs. Buffalo Sabres
Currently drinking: water
Currently doing: working on list of what to do in Chicago
Currently feeling: pumped up and ready to go

On Sunday, I head to Chicago! :) I'm so excited! I plan on getting everything that I can't get or find here. And that means a stop in the new Marc by Marc Jacobs store! Mmmm...dreamy...

Among the many items that I am drooling over, I shall show a few that I am definitely going to try to hunt down in the store. I'm keeping it reasonable, as I do plan to shop at Macy's, Bloomingdales, Saks, and all along the Magnificent Mile! And I hope to get a deep dish pizza, as I have never had it before. Better to start with the original! I figure if I can handle Canada's Instant Heart Attack known as poutine than I can handle Chicago's Instant Heart Attack known as deep dish pizza. :D

I love flip-flops!

That metallic purple is love.

I'm torn between getting the gold or silver.

Again, I love that purple!

Such a cute umbrella!

I've wanted this tote since it first came out!

I'll try to post pictures and a list of what all I buy in Chicago when I get back. I think this is going to be a great wedding anniversary for me and my hubby. Happy two years of marriage to us! :) More when I get back...Take care and Happy Easter! ♥♥

Celebs have blonde moments too.

Currently watching: The Simpsons
Currently reading: nothing really
Currently drinking: lots of water
Currently feeling: still sick! Kill me now, please.

Taken from my UK Glamour from December and the book They X-Rayed My Head And Found Nothing, The Ultimate A-Z of Very Stupid Things Said By Very Stupid People by Mike Haskins and Clive Wichelow. These are absolutely hilarious! :D

01. "I was in history class and the teacher said to raise your hand if you know the continents. I raised my hand and said, 'A, E, I, O, U.' And the teacher replied, 'Those aren't even consonants. They're vowels.' "
- Jessica Simpson

02. "I don't really think. I just walk."
- Paris Hilton

03. "Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life."
- Brooke Shields

04. "I'm getting more famouser by the day."
- Avril Lavigne

05. "The cool thing about being famous is traveling. I have always wanted to travel across seas- like to Canada and stuff."
- Britney Spears

And my absolute favorite:

Sienna Miller: "I just wanted to say that I can't believe I'm sitting in a bar drinking Champagne next to Kevin Bacon."
Kevin Spacey: "Spacey."
Sienna: "Yeah, it is, isn't it!"

P.S.- Happy Pi (3.14) Day! :D Yeah, I'm a dork.

What's on my iPod? Pt. 3

Currently watching: The Simpsons
Currently reading: In Touch mag.
Currently drinking: green tea
Currently feeling: creative

So here are some recent songs getting major airplay on my iPod and Last.fm playlist. :)

01. Up to the Mountain (MLK Song)- Patty Griffin
It's a beautiful song. I first heard Kelly Clarkson cover it at one of her concerts, but the original is absolutely breathtaking. I know why Kelly chose to cover it! Patty wrote it from a line in one of Martin Luther King's speeches.

02. Bleeding Love- Leona Lewis
I cannot say enough good things about this song. Please give it a listen! Her voice will make you melt.

03. Love Like This- Natasha Bedingfield ft. Sean Kingston
I am a sucker for songs that have a catchy chorus.

04. Superstar- Sonic Youth
This was one of the best cover songs in the 90's and is now back in the spotlight thanks to the Juno soundtrack. I think it pays a great tribute to The Carpenters.

05. Weak in the Knees- Serena Ryder
I love her voice. She almost has that Alanis sound.

06. My Life- Billy Joel
This is one of those songs that I go to if I am upset.

07. Walking With a Ghost- Tegan and Sara
I love those girls!

08. I Can't Break It to My Heart- Delta Goodrem
She has such a beautiful voice, and this is a well-written song.

09. Two Hearts- Kylie Minogue
I've followed her since her 80's Locomotion days! This song is extremely catchy, and I love it for workouts.

10. Billie Jean (2008 Kanye West Mix)- Michael Jackson/Kanye West
Kanye remixed Billie Jean for the 25th Anniversary edition of Thriller. I love it! He mellowed it out, and added a few extra beats.

P.S.- New layout! I think the other was up for about a month (Gossip Girl edition), so I changed it up a bit. So welcome the Cashmere Mafia edition! :)

Worst of the Oscars

Seriously, this one is a given. Tilda Swinton...tsk tsk. Looking like an actual hefty bag is never a good thing! And please just once, perhaps you could put on a little makeup?

I understand having the mermaid train. I really do, but I don't get why the dress itself has scales. A mermaid train is completely different from trying to look like a mermaid!

Julie Christie, what were you thinking? Your dress just ends up looking wrinkly, and those gloves? Really?! Come on now! If you wanted to cover your arms, you really should have picked a long-sleeved dress.

Oh, Calista! Calista Flockhart almost got it right...almost. She should have picked a dress that would have better flattered her lack of boobage. And that hair is way too casual...as in "I just got back from the gym and threw on my fancy dress!". Not a good thing!

A lot of people raved about Heidi Klum's dress. I find it rather hideous. Her hair is too stiff, and the dress looks like something Cruella DeVil would wear. The shade, however, looks wonderful on her.

This post is approved by Diablo Cody and Anne Hathaway.

Diablo: Anne, it's wonderful to meet you. Did you know I was a stripper?
Anne: Nice to meet you also. No, you've only mentioned it in interviews and on your blog a thousand times.
Diablo: Can you believe Stuart Weitzman wanted me to wear a pair of shoes worth a million f****** bucks?
Anne: How outrageous! He totally should have picked me instead!

Best of the Oscars

Here are my top choices for best dressed at the Oscars. Some people can't stop raving about Heidi Klum or Katharine Heigl, but I found their dresses to be typical and rather ugly. It felt like almost every dress was red or black, though!

Jessica Alba looked glowing, and I don't think it was just because of the bun in her oven. I think it is because she knows she looked good!

Jennifer Garner always seems to pull off the classic look so well.

Renee Zellweger looked glamorous. I love that she did not go crazy with her hair, jewelry, and makeup and just let the dress be the center of attention.

I'm not usually a fan of Hillary's dress choices, but this is just drop dead gorgeous.

And no list is complete without this hunk of a man...He would make ripped acid wash jeans look good!

Next up: The Worst of the Oscars! :)
