InstaMonth for July 2019

I'm a little later than usual with this post, but here we are with a few photos from my Instagram during last month. Why share them on my blog, as well? Well, the algorithm is not my friend and those of you that do follow me probably miss several of my posts because of it. I know I miss yours and it drives me crazy. I own this little space on the internet and a little cross promotion never hurts anyone.

I think the algorithm and the follow/unfollow (annoying!) is what is killing Instagram, at least it is for me. I also find that I lose more followers the more active I am, which honestly boggles my mind. Should I just not open my account for a month and see if my account actually grows (LOL, but don't think I haven't thought about it more than once!)?! In reality, I throw out likes and comments like confetti so if you're interested in supporting each other, I'm totally game. I don't want to be just a number and I don't want you to be either. Just find me, @wendybanner!

Star Wars Collection by Lip Smacker

With all of the new Star Wars movies that have been coming out and that are on the horizon, the series keeps picking up new fans along the way to the galaxy far away. I'm not as familiar with the older films, but I did enjoy Rogue One and The Force Awakens. I have not seen The Last Jedi or Solo yet, but we have plans to. We're really behind on our movies! I did read The Last Jedi spoilers and even as someone who does not consider herself a fan of the series, I did not like what I read. Since there was quite the uproar over the film, I know I am not alone in that thinking.

Here's how I like to put it. I married someone who seems to like the Stars - Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc. And I seem to be someone who does not usually partake in the Stars by choice, unless it was of the Search variety. That show was my jam in my early childhood! Showing my age? Probably. I humor my husband and sit through some of his "Star shows" and often end up liking them more than I thought I would. And I'm totally down with Princess Leia, Yoda, and Rey!

This new Star Wars collection by Lip Smacker released on May 4th (May the 4th be with you!), which I'd say is clever marketing at its best. I don't have the entire collection to show you, but I do have a few goodies to share. On a personal note, the Tsum Tsums always take the cake. They're too cute!

InstaMonth for May 2018

I spent the last week of May sick as a dog, so maybe that's why I'm happy to see June. I'm finally getting back to being functional and ready to enjoy the new month! And maybe I like it even more because lately it has been in the 70s and not hot. This girl only approves of heat in a beach and pool setting, so I'm down for this being a summer norm for temperatures. It won't stay this way, but I'll take it while I can get it! :)

The other week was in the 90s and a lot more humid, but we seem to be getting a bit of a cold front. Though I've been seeing some of my friends in California say the weather has been around 105F recently. What's the weather like where you are? Do you thrive in hot or cold weather?

Back to School Must Haves and Trivia - Perfect for Parents!

When this PR package arrived, I could not stop looking at the adorable box. And it was well-stocked with some fun back to school items in it! Some of the things in here are suited for everyone, some more for the younger crowd, and certainly items to make any parent's life easier! There's a little quiz at the end just for fun!
