Milani Stellar Lights Highlight Palette in Rose Glow

Did I need another highlighter or highlight palette? No. Did that stop me from grabbing this the second I saw it? Also no. I can't help it- it's a weakness! I saw this being talked about on Instagram and knew I had to grab it. Milani's Stellar Lights palettes are gorgeous in person. There are two, Holographic Beams (cooler in tone) and Rose Glow (warmer in tone). While I normally like cooler, I gravitated toward this one a little bit more. Maybe because I was home and in that South Carolina heat and summer was on my mind? Could be!

Keep reading to find out what I think and to see my swatches!

So, as I stated, I bought the Rose Glow one. While it borders on warmer shades than the other palette, there's enough here to please everyone. That Pearl shade works perfectly alone or layered with the other two to make them slightly cooler and lighter in shade, which is what I've been doing. I love Pearl and Golden Quartz layered! The Rose Gold shade is slightly too dark to work alone on my fair skin, but it shines as an eyeshadow. The layering game is strong with this palette. Major kudos.

The formula is smooth and easy to build up or sheer out. You can get an out-of-world glow with this palette if that is your ultimate goal! I can see this working beautifully for most skin tones. I find this lasts all day on my skin, does not cling to any dry patches, nor does it look like a glitter bomb went off on my face. The fact that you can layer the shades and use them in various ways just adds to the value of this palette. It packs a lot of power!

I picked mine up at Target, but you can get it in Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. I love this one so much that I'll probably be grabbing the Holographic Beams version soon enough. I don't say that you should run out and buy something too often, but this is IT. If you're on the market for a new highlighter or can't seem to get enough of them like me (Hi, my name is Wendy and I have a highlighter problem...), keep Milani's Stellar Lights on your radar!

Do you have either of the Stellar Lights palettes? Drop me a comment letting me know what your favorite highlighter is. Not that I need to add any others to my list...I'll just say it's for "research purposes". Yeah, let's go with that.
