What I Got For Christmas 2018

I love these posts. Probably because I am such a curious person. Show me what's in your handbag, your fridge, what's on your wishlist, what you got for your birthday...I love it all. Not only does it tell me more about you, but it almost always gives me future ideas or shows me something I didn't even know existed. I've gotten a handful of things, read books, or listened to music that I now love in recent years because you originally shared and talked about them. And I get a lot of messages showing me things that you think I will love based on what I have shared in the past. I love that!

With that said, if these types of posts are not your thing, I totally get it. I won't take it personally if you exit out of this post, but I hope you'll stick around for other topics I post about. :) So here are a few things I got for Christmas. I'm dubbing it the "Christmas of Beverages" and you'll find out why below!

With the start of 2019, I needed a new planner. I experimented with vertical for over a year, but I felt like I needed to go back to horizontal. My faith & health planner is vertical, so I still get to play around with that layout. I'm just more of a functional planner and think better in a horizontal format. These three sticker books are probably my newest faves in my collection. The Mom one has a lot more non-Mom stickers than you'd think and totally usable for anyone. The Squad Goals is adorable and the Brights is perfect for decorating your monthly view calendars. All of these can be found at Michaels.

My husband got me the Lady Gaga issue of Vogue in my stocking. He'd been holding onto it since October, but started his shopping in like April or May. He was on the ball this year! I'm lucky if I start in November. Any other late shoppers here? I received this amazing polar bear marble board and got it a little early since we were hosting the friends dinner this year. It's from Chapters, but I can't find it on the website anymore. Your local store may still have it, if you're interested!

The beauty and skincare items this year. I got another set of bath bombs and lotions not pictured. So many bath bombs this year...so many baths and pamper nights in my future! The owl is the Vanilla Marshmallow scent that The Body Shop offered as part of their holiday scents this time. The Lush bags hold a Lord of Misrule (one of my absolute favorites) and my first ever Butterbear! The polar bear bath bombs are from HomeSense. The fox tray is from DAVIDsTEA and is meant to rest your sachet of tea, but I'm using it to hold my rings because it is too darn cute not to have out on display. And the 24K Eye Patches by Peter Thomas Roth are from Sephora.

Two new hand creams from Bath & Body Works include the shea butter one in Sugar Berry and a Sleep one that smells like lavender. Sugar Berry smells like a dream and I throw that one into my bag and use daily and I keep the lavender one nearby at night. The little diamond is a minty lip balm that my SIL found for me at Torrid. I also count the NYX advent calendar in this category, which I have swatched and reviewed on here.

The fun category! Two of my favorite shows that I can quote at any given time are Bob's Burgers and Golden Girls, so I'm pretty darn excited about these two new additions to our game closet. In the Golden Girls Clue, you have to find out who ate the cheesecake! I got a new Harry Potter figurine for my HP bookcase shelf. A polar bear coin pouch, Starbucks gift card, PopSocket, and HP magnetic bookmarks round out this section.

The clothes and accessories! A Toronto Football Club hat, Spotify hat, and polar bear socks (Old Navy) to keep me warm. The red velvet tee and LOVE sweater are also from Old Navy. I can't wait to wear that sweater for Valentine's Day, especially. My husband managed to get me an older autographed Toronto Rock Lacrosse jersey that has a different design and signatures than I have on my other one. The Toronto Rock ugly Christmas sweater to add to my collection that I will definitely be sporting next year. I love this Adidas Calgary Stampeders hoodie! It's long and perfect to wear with leggings. Yes, Calgary AND Toronto gear. They are my two favorite Canadian sport cities!

Finally in this category, is this rose gold sequined beauty of a backpack. I asked for this Loungefly bag when my SIL and BIL went to Disneyland, but it was sold out and I gave up. Then, they went to Disney World later in the year, found it, and decided to give it to me for Christmas. It's every bit as gorgeous as I thought it would be. Despite being a mini size, it holds so much and heck if I'm waiting until my next Disney trip to use it!

Now onto why this is the "Christmas of Beverages". Well, when my husband finds out I like something, he goes a little nuts. It becomes his personal challenge to find everything- every color, flavor, you name it. Good grief, no one set him up a Pokemon account, okay? He wouldn't stop until he does actually catch them all. Haha!

The DAVIDsTea polar bear items caught my eye the moment I saw them. He got me the travel mug and the stackable mugs. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say these are the prettiest mugs I own. The stars shine and the gradient is flawless. In love!
bblogger, bbloggers, bbloggerca, canadian beauty blogger, lifestyle, southern blog, what i got for christmas, 2018, gifts, holiday, homesense, davids tea, davidstea, fall collection, fox tea tin, jordan's syrups, skinny syrups, holiday syrups, jellyfish tumbler, perfect tumbler
The drink section continues. The Jellyfish tumbler from the DAVIDsTEA summer collection is the exact lilac we used in our wedding and I use my rose gold tumbler on a daily basis. Happy to have another one! The fox tea tin is also from DAVIDsTEA. I'm not sure where the upside down polar bear is from, but I would guess HomeSense. And then, there's the syrups. This is just the Christmas pack. Don't let that fool you, because I didn't take pictures of all of the dang syrups. I'm thinking I may have to up my tea and coffee habit from one a day to more just to get through them. These syrups come in so many flavors and totally change the game. Jordan's Skinny Syrups have a website to order from, but we find them at HomeSense, Winners, etc. If you take your beverages as seriously as we do, check them out. SO MANY FLAVORS.

Other than that, we got a few gift cards to use. My friend Daniel brought me a dose of home from his trip to the south. Biscuit mix, preserves, country ham, and Goo Goo Clusters. Bless him! A few little knickknacks and treats to enjoy from various loved ones. I didn't give a list or anything. I mean, I threw a few hints my husband's way but that's it. I didn't want or need anything extravagant. But apparently I did need enough syrups to make a thousand drinks and then some. ;)

Everything I received are things that I can use every day and include many of my hobbies and things I love. The amount of attention, thought, and love that went into every gift is what makes them special. I'm so grateful to have the people in my life that I do. Fun memories were made and laughs shared!

I'd love to hear about what your favorite gift given or received was or link me to your post if you did one! I think my favorite gift we gave was to my MIL. I picked out a thick blanket that matches her living room furniture and in her favorite colors for when she is watching TV at night, because she always complains about a cold draft. Or the flannel PJs I got my husband, because he won't stop wearing them. That's always a good sign and good timing since it's getting much colder here.

Well, I'm off to make a coffee and make my way through this weekend well hydrated and caffeinated!
