NYX 2018 Sugar Trip Advent Calender Week 3

It's winding down now. I'll be sharing the last few days when I return from my holiday break. At this point of typing (this is a scheduled post), I haven't opened the last days yet! Here is the third week to the NYX  Sugar Trip advent calendar. Last I checked, it is still on for half off if you want to purchase it. It's a fun collection of items!

The two eyeshadows in Sweet Tooth and Whipped Mocha are A+. I accidentally chipped Sweet Tooth trying to get it out of the calendar. Why must they make everything so hard to get out of these things? Sweet Tooth is a shimmer and Whipped Mocha is a matte. For a matte, it swatches and blends smoothly. A really nice matte formula!

Like the Cranberry Mint one, this is clear. Same formula, just a different scent. I think I prefer the cranberry one, but that's just personal preference. Solid choice for a lip oil if your lips need some extra TLC.

Matte Lipstick in Sorbae
Not for me when it comes to the color choice. This may work for others and they can probably rock it, but I felt like someone in Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. Someone tell me how that movie is going to be twenty years old! The formula is nice, but I don't know that I will find a way to make this work for me.

Lingerie Lipstick in Slip
Very basic nude pink, so of course I like it. I do find it a little drying without using a balm underneath. I'll also say that this has staying power. A real struggle to get it off!

Liquid Suede in Peanut Brittle
Love this shade! So perfect for winter. I don't think it's really a "peanut brittle" kind of vibe, but I'll take it. Feels smooth on the lips.

Soft Matte Lip Cream in Kiev
This isn't for me. I thought the blue wasn't, but then this came in the picture. Now I am not anti-black lips, quite the contrary. I don't like them that much on myself, but I love seeing them on everyone else. I just found this formula so patchy and hard to work with. It's odd because I usually love the Soft Matte formula. This was difficult. And not really that opaque on me. I think the true allure of a black lip is when they are a solid black. This is a hard pass.

Have you tried any of these formulas? I'm so rarely disappointed by NYX's eyeshadow formulas. Great quality for an affordable price!
