What's In My Purse?

I haven't done one of these in a long time now. If my search skills are correct, my last What's In My Purse post was just over two years ago. I used to be the girl that carries the kitchen sink and sometimes I still am when I carry one of my bigger bags. That's one of the things I like about choosing a smaller bag though. You only have so much space to delegate to the more important items. It depends on my mood and my daily plans, but my shoulder definitely thanks me when I go the smaller bag route!

The bag is from Gap a while back, but they do have a similar one right now! Inside my purse, I have:
  • Pur Gum - There was an offer online to get a free pack and I took advantage. It's okay, but I do wish the flavor lasted longer. It tastes like nothing after like five minutes.
  • Keys - House key, mail key, and magnet to get in our building. The keychain is from Cath Kidston's 101 Dalmatians collection. Love!
  • Dental Picks - From my dentist. I hate getting anything stuck in my teeth. These come in handy more than you think they would. I can often be found carrying Band-Aids. I usually have some tissues too, but I forgot to replace my last pack. Note to self! I like to be prepared.
  • Notebook - This Moleskine one is a perfect size to throw in your bag. They come in packs of two and the sheets are perforated so they are easy to tear out. As a list addict, I have to carry a notebook.
  • Pen - For obvious reasons. This specific one is a black Stabilo Fineliner.
  • Hair Tie - Just in case!
  • Lipstick or Gloss - Whatever I'm using that day. This is Chanel's Boy. Looks good with anything!
  • Hand Gel - This scent is the same one as last time. I think this is my last back-up though! I love this scent so much. I change it up sometimes, but I always come back to this scent. Pink Sugarplum by Bath & Body Works.
  • Phone - Though to be fair, this is most often in my hand and not in my purse. I have the Samsung S8+ after switching from the iPhone 6.
  • Change Purse/Wallet - At the moment, I've whipped out my old trusty Coach Skinny ID case to carry a few essentials and spare change. If you're thinking my purse is neat and minus any random receipts, that is because they are crammed into this bad boy. I try to take them out when I get home that same day. Sometimes it happens, most of the time it doesn't. Ha!
And because it was charging when I took the pictures above and I was too lazy to retake them, I also carry my little Kate Spade charger. It gets the job done, but now that I have a phone with a larger battery I would like to find a portable charger with a little more oomph and power for the longer days out.

That's it! When carrying my bigger bags, I might also throw in my little puzzle book, mini Happy Planner, or my tablet especially if I know I'm going somewhere where I'll have idle time on my hands. I'm the worst at sitting there and not doing something to keep my mind busy.

What's in your purse right now?!
