ColourPop Highlighters in Lunch Money and Smoke N Whistles

Coming back around to my first ColourPop order, I got these two highlighters in Lunch Money and Smoke N Whistles. I have also seen Smoke N Whistles labeled as "Smokin' Whistles". I'm not sure why there is a slight difference in names, but they are the same product.

I previously shared my swatches of their Lippie Stix in Contempo and Cami, which you can read here. I still have the Mile High eyeshadow collection to share to catch up on this order. I say it like that, because I've already placed another order. They were offering good international shipping rates this past weekend and I just haaaad to take advantage. No, I didn't really have to. But I did. #noregrets

Smoke N Whistles is on the left, Lunch Money is on the right. It took everything in me to dip my finger and brush into these for the first time. They were just so pretty! It was love at first swipe on both, though.

I thought I would prefer Smoke N Whistles, because it is a cooler champagne highlight. And I do like it, but Lunch Money is what stole my heart. They both give different results and I have found that it all depends on the blush and base I am wearing that day for which one I choose to reach for. Smoke N Whistles gives off more of a metallic sheen, while Lunch Money gives a golden glow. If you want them on the sheerer side, apply with a brush. If you want a highlighted cheek bright enough that people will need sunglasses to look at you, apply with your fingers. I won't judge you. Rock that highlight!

For myself, I typically like a sheerer application for everyday living. That, and it really takes a lot to get me to dip my finger in a product. I hate using my fingers! I have had this Sonia Kashuk brush in my collection for a long time now and could never figure out what to do with it, but I've found that it works perfectly with these.

The formula is a mousse-like creamy texture. If you ever touched Maybelline Dream Bouncy blushes, it's a little similar to that! These last all day on me and don't accentuate my dry skin or pores. I'm impressed and may just have to add more of these highlighters to my wishlist!
