Valentine's Day 2012

It's not my favorite holiday, but it circles around two of my favorite colors and one of my favorite topics- pink, red, and love. I'm not sure why my husband spoiled me so much this year (and I'm certainly not complaining), but my ottoman looked like an explosion happened at the Barbie factory with all of the pink items laying there!

I am not going to delve into all of the little things, though they are equally as thoughtful. I thought I'd use this post to share the bigger items that I received that really took me by surprise. If you don't care for this type of post or enjoy gushy feelings of L.O.V.E., then by all means you can wait until my next post and scroll past this one. I won't be offended! ;)

^ He packaged it all by himself and did such a beautiful job! And the double hearts was the symbol of our wedding.

^ Seriously you guys, I was not joking about the explosion! Haha!

^ OK, maybe not the most romantic gift but I love 'em! I've never played a Pokemon game, but I kept hearing these are amazing. If you like puzzle games, the Professor Layton series is really good and harder than you would think. And I've now become obsessed with Plants vs. Zombies!

^ Lush's "Do Knot Disturb" gift. This is still available on the website! I'll take pictures of the goodies inside in a post next week!

^ Four MAC eyeshadows in Bisque, Juxt, Hepcat, and Romp.

^ A Tiffany Infinity bracelet! It's so dainty and pretty.

^ On Valentine's night, he took me to a nice dinner downtown and then to see one of my favorite Canadian singers, Jim Cuddy. He's one of the singers of Blue Rodeo, which is a very well-known band here. I recommend you look him up on YouTube, because his voice is like silk. Ahhh, it was such an amazing night!

^ You stick things on your pets too, don't you?! Jade was not impressed, but never fear! There was a Valentine gift of catnip mice toys for her right after. :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Aw, it shows that your husband really does listen!

This year, my bf and I were a bit short on $, due to us living out on our own now. He lives with his brother, and I live with mine BUT we both pay rent, etc.

He did get me the new Breaking Dawn movie (which I was freaking out over) and a box of delicious chocolate, and of course, a little cute bear! :)

Your husband is really sweet! =)

The hubby and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day... we did the first couple of years we were together, but after a while, we just didn't see the point. He did buy me an iPod Nano a couple days before V-day though... but I suppose that doesn't count. lol.

@Antonia- That's great! I just got the movie on DVD too. I think it was the best one of the series so far and the ending really set the tone for the next one! :)

@Linh- I completely understand. This was our eighth V-Day together and I know I'd just be happy with maybe a dinner out or a movie. I would definitely count the Nano! Did you get one of the newer models? I love iPods! LOL!
