NARS Danmari Palette

As you saw from my haul that I posted on Sunday, I got the Danmari palette. Here are my pictures and swatches!

^ To the left, I have compared Hungry Heart to NARS' other highlight color called Albatross. I can say that I prefer Albatross on the cheeks, as Hungry Heart is loaded with glitter. I will use Hungry Heart as an eyeshadow instead. Everyone has seen Orgasm by now, I'm sure! Desire was a pleasant surprise, because I wasn't expecting for it to be so gorgeous. It looks rather intimidating, but it doesn't look clownish on the cheeks when it's blended well.

^ Here I have compared Laguna to Casino. Casino is just a smidgen darker than Casino and both have golden shimmer. Honestly, I don't notice a big enough difference to tell you that you need both. It doesn't show in this picture, but Super Orgasm is a glitter bomb like Hungry Heart. This could be fun for holiday parties, but I just wouldn't wear it everyday. I have fallen in love with Sin, because it is very versatile. It's one of the only berry blushes I've come across that looks good on my pale skin.

^ If you have this palette and have some colors you don't think you'd use, try them as eyeshadows. For the sake of this post, I quickly added Sin to my eyelid and used Casino to blend it out to the crease and snapped a picture. (This looked better in person, but the point is that you can get creative!) These colors together created a golden mauve look suitable for the holiday season and would look great paired with a red or berry-toned lipstick. This is why palettes like this are useful. There are so many ways you can use them!

Out of this palette, I only owned Orgasm. This palette is absolutely worth the price, which is $65 US/$70 CAN at Sephora. A normal NARS blush is .16 oz and the size of these are .12 oz. Nearly a full size! If you can find this in stock at your local store, give it a look. I'm pleased with five out of six of the colors, which makes it worth it in my eyes. This is a great way to sample new colors for a much cheaper price. If you have this palette or want it, feel free to leave a comment below on what you love or hate about it!

I hope they continue to make these palettes. This is nice but seems well suited for light-medium skin tones. I don't feel like it will suit me as well as it suits my lighter skinned friends. I'd like to see one with some new shades

Thanks for sharing!

I got this palette for Hanukkah and I absolutely love it!! I already had Orgasm but I was so excited to get all the other colours. My favourites are Desire, Casino, and Hungry Heart. Check out my review here: http://apopofcolour.com/2011/12/22/the-holiday-collection-nars-danmari-cheek-palette/

This palette was so ridiculously expensive in Canada and sold out all over, but managed to get it when I went to the states for a weekend. Absolutely worth it and I love this palette. One of my fav makeup items of all time. Too bad it's not available anymore I would repurchase for friends any day.
