I feel like every year advent calendars get better and better and at the same time harder and harder to decide which one to get. Last year, I chose a jigsaw puzzle one. Every day was 20 new pieces to put together the big picture. That was a lot of fun because it gave us an activity to do together. There really is something out there for everyone and they are more wide reaching now.
I've put a list together of a few that I think are fun! I don't know which one I'm going with this year yet and I'm kind of leaning towards something I haven't done yet. A treat a day, I mean you can't really lose with whatever you pick!
I might go with one like this. I haven't done a book one yet and I love the idea of a book per day, chapter per day, etc. Perfect for the avid reader in your life! (

Keep It Classic
No one said there's anything wrong with sticking to the traditional sweet treats. I'm not a huge chocolate lover, so I don't often enjoy them enough. I do have a soft spot for Williams-Sonoma peppermint bark when I do want chocolate around the holidays, so I had that calendar one year. If it's chocolate calendars you are after, the world is your oyster with many options and price points. (

Kids
So many fun kid options now! I saw a Playdoh one that I would have died for as a child. This science one seems like a blast since it's an activity that parents and kids can do together and make learning fun. (

Bath Lovers
This Lush bath bomb calendar is what dreams are made of. I don't use bath bombs super often, so this would easily last someone like me a year. A gift that keeps on giving! The Christmas scents are among their best. (

Skincare
With skincare and beauty options, I'd say these are what truly catapulted the world of advents into a grander bigger audience and flipped the switch on what they could be. I think skincare is a great option. I personally don't believe you can go wrong with L'Occitane. For instance, the almond shower oil has a permanent spot in my shower. It's a year-round savior. (

Showtime
The calendars for movies and shows are *chef's kiss*. I had a Gilmore Girls one and loved it and still use so many of the trinkets. The best one was the Luke's coffee stirrer! I love the looks of this Wicked one and I can see it satisfying any of us fans of the musical, books, or movie(s)! (

I'm not judging you if you want multiple to treat yourself to each day! There is something out there for everyone to enjoy and learn about the spirit of Advent season. I hope you find one that you love this year and that it brings you great joy every day!
