Wonderful Wednesday

Currently watching: Rachael Ray Show...Tom Jonessssss!
Currently thinking: how on earth people curl their hair with flat irons! I just spent 30 min. trying to do it and failed miserably :(
Currently feeling: too lazy to get up and cook dinner

So I saw Twilight yesterday! It was momentous in that it was my first movie I have ever seen alone. It truly is not as awkward as being at a concert by yourself. There was another girl who was in front of me at the ticket booth and then sat behind me in the theatre. I felt connected to her in our solitary movie outtings. :) And here is my review:

I thought I would die when I found out I would have to wait for Harry Potter until next year, but then I had heard good things about the Twilight series so it softened the blow. I have yet to read the books. However, I do own the first one which I do intend to read soon. I meant to read it before I saw the movie, but ran out of time! It's better this way, though. I went into the movie with no expectations and had nothing to try to compare it to...though Moonlight (tv series) came to mind!

First off, what on earth was wrong with Bella's makeup? They made her look so tired all the time. And yet they showed bedroom and sleeping scenes! I'm not on the Robert-is-so-hot train either. I'll go ahead and state that. I did get the chemistry between Edward and Bella. It was a well put-together cast and I absolutely adored the role of Bella's father.

I found the movie to be a bit slow-paced, but once action picked up it became better. It did take me awhile to get into the story because of that. All-in-all, it was a pretty good movie that ended up looking a bit low budget. I do think that will change as they work on the sequel! I liked it enough to see the next one, but in my eyes...it is no Harry Potter.
(4/5)

XOXO

oh lawd. if you think the movie was slow-going... just wait til you read a hundred pages of "i woke up. i went to school. i cooked. i went to sleep. i woke up."

-has a love-hate relationship with twilight ^^-

Oooh excellent... :/ It seems like it would be so much easier to just cut the mundane things off of the pages. I always find myself skipping over those parts anyway.

I hope Jasper gets more of a role in the sequel. He had like one line in the whole movie and just stood there. Poor guy!
