MAC Brule vs. Wet n Wild Brulee Eyeshadow

*UPDATED WITH NEW PICTURES!

I got Wet n Wild's Brulee eyeshadow during my latest trip to the States and I just wanted to do a quick comparison post with MAC's Brule!

Aside from being similar in name, they are very closely related to each other in shade. I'd say MAC's Brule is a bit more yellow-based, while W'n'W's Brulee is more pink-based once swatched on skin. The difference in shade and texture is nowhere near as different as the price range. MAC's will cost you anywhere up to $18 CAN, while I found most stores to sell W'n'W eyeshadow singles for $0.99-1.99!

I find both blend easily, though Brulee is slightly more powdery. I think both are great and if you are need of a highlight color like MAC's Brule, I'd say save your money and purchase Brulee instead. The differences are far too minimal between them to really need to spend the extra money, in my opinion. Gotta love a good dupe!

Thank you so much for doing this post Wendy! I've been going back and forth with myself trying to decide if I should splurge on a good highlight color from MAC (Brule was always my top choice) and now I know I can virtually get the EXACT same thing for a little over a buck :)!

Beautiful photos by the way xox

I know this is a late response, but I've been looking for a matte highlight e/s single to go with my Naked Palette (probably the only thing that bugs me about that palette >.< ) so I've been Googling and Brule looked like a good choice, but MAC is difficult to get where I live, so it looks like I've found the perfect substitute! Thanks for this post!
