This is one of those HG products for me. I went through my last one so long ago, but I tried to put off getting a replacement to try and finish some concealers already in my collection. And I did try for over a year and I just honestly have no other product that performs like this one does.

FaceOff Makeup Remover Cloth
Have you seen the makeup removing cloths making their rounds in the makeup community? I sure have and I have been intrigued ever since. How can a cloth remove makeup without needing a face wash, oil, etc.? You mean I can just wet them with warm water and it will take my makeup off? I have to admit that I was skeptical.
First off, I want to talk about how cool it was to pick this up after notice of delivery! I was left a slip telling me that I had a package to pick up and I had to call to get them to send me an email with a code and location. We then drove to the location where a row of lockers were located and a console was in the middle. I had to use the code and scan my phone, the locker popped open automatically, and shut automatically after one minute had passed. You guys, I legit felt like a spy picking up a top secret mission. It's the little things!
The FaceOff cloth is bright white and about the size of a washcloth. You wet it with warm water and it is ready to go! It is super soft and didn't make my skin red at all. It takes a little extra effort to get eyeliner off, but it is doable. Afterward, you just wash it out with soap and water and allow it to dry. It is also machine-washable, but don't add bleach or softeners. There is a hanging loop on one corner to help with storing and the drying process. Each cloth can last you 3-4 months of regular use.
Have you tried any of the makeup removing cloths on the market? I'm no longer a skeptic toward them!

Back to School 2016: Supplies
Yeah, I'm not going back to school in a typical sense. I sorta kinda wish I was, because I always loved it. I do have an online course on Ancient Egypt starting in September and I am super excited. I love learning new things! School has always been my escape. I'm like a sponge and just want to suck up everything I can. Yeah, I know, I'm a nerd. Don't let anyone tell you that being one is a bad thing!
Anyway, here are a few supplies to get you through your school year! I'm not saying you need these exact things, but these items (any brand) will definitely help keep you on track. This is just a guide and an excuse to look at really cute office supplies, because I never get tired of that. Never ever!
- Planner - I've been a planner girl for as long as I can remember. It especially helps to keep track of club meetings, practice times, and assignments. (via ban.do)
- Colorful Pens - For taking notes and writing in your planner. Don't underestimate a pretty pen. (via ban.do)
- Cell Phone Case - I'm going to age myself, but we didn't really carry cell phones while I was in school. Of course they existed, but not many people had them like they do now. If you're going to carry yours around with you, be responsible and put a case on it. (Kate Spade via Chapters)
- Expanding File Folder - These are great for dividing your paperwork by subject at home when you clean out your folders or binders that you carry to class. (via Chapters)
- Cute Notebooks - Get ones that show off your personality and that you will love reaching for! (via ban.do)
- Bookbag - Make sure to get one that offers enough support for the approximate weight that you will be carrying. The books tend to get thicker and heavier the further along in school you are. And very costly once you hit college. Good times. (via Chapters)
- Water Bottle - Bottles that promise to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours are fantastic! I recommend filling it with ice and water in the early morning. Refill it during the day at a water fountain or in your school cafeteria. The ice barely melts during the day, keeping your water cold and you hydrated. Even in the hottest weather and it doesn't sweat, keeping your backpack dry. (S'well via Chapters)
What are/were some of your necessities for back to school supplies?

Ole Henriksen Nurture Me
As part of my birthday shopping, I grabbed the last item I needed to complete my Nurture Me set by Ole Henriksen. I just needed the facial water, which I was pretty excited about. I love facial mists and sprays. Better yet, my dry skin loves them!
For the TL;DR crowd, obviously I enjoy the line to have all three products. It's always a little tricky to review anything with skin, because we are all so different. But here's what I think of each of these items!
Facial Creme: This is the belle of the ball for me. The highlight of the line! I have rough dry patches around my mouth and this really makes a difference with them. This is thick and I don't really think you would like it if your skin isn't dry to very dry. It might be a little too much for anyone else! It makes my face feel so supple and soft and I can't say that with a lot of products that I have tried.
Cleansing Cloths: What I really love about these is that the cloths have yet to dry out. They are all still as moist (sorry if you hate that word) as when I first opened the pack months ago. Months ago? Yep. I wanted to save one or two just so I could see if they would dry out or not. They do a decent job at removing makeup. I have used wipes that do a better job, though. The formula does feel nice on the skin and doesn't make my skin feel tight. This is the weakest link in the collection, in my opinion.
Have you tried any of these or any other Ole Henriksen products? I definitely would not be opposed to trying more!

Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter
I have already said it, but I am obsessed with highlighters right now. I just can't get enough glow! I do have a few powders that I am loving, but it is this liquid one that has my true love. Arbonne's Sheer Glow Highlighter is so easy to use and I have been using it every single time I do my makeup since it came into my life. It's that good.
Here are my thoughts and swatches!
It's not very noticeable on its own, which is why I love mixing it with other products. My favorite way to use it is to mix it in with my current foundation. It makes its biggest splash that way! I also layer it with my blushes and other highlighting products on my cheeks. Sheer Glow doesn't have glitter and it is the first that I have found easy to work with and not need a learning curve to not look like a disco ball.
Bottom line, you might find it too sheer on its own, but it works wonderfully with other products you probably already own. The tube is great for getting the amount that you need, but I would squish the tube a bit before each use to mix the product. Arbonne's Sheer Glow Highlighter retails for $43 US / $50 CA. I've barely made a dent in my tube after using it for over a month. So this will last quite a while!

Blog of the Month: August 2016
In July, Renee from See the World in PINK was my featured blogger. You can read that post and see other past featured blogs under the "blog of the month" label! Being my blog of the month gets you a designated blog post, a sidebar button, and a mention on my Twitter account. The sidebar button stays up all month long. I don't believe in necessarily making bloggers pay for advertising and I'd much rather show you blogs that I really enjoy reading. And I hope you end up enjoying them too!

InstaMonth for July 2016
It's August! July wasn't so bad. It brought about my birthday and new Harry Potter, so no complaints there. But now it is August! I'm one step closer to fall. Leaves will be changing soon, Bath and Body Works already have out their fall scents, and I can see cardigan weather in my future. Ok, maybe I'm rushing it a bit. But I need October and November, you guys. The next illustrated Harry Potter book gets released (one a year, this time it is Chamber of Secrets), along with the release of the screenplay and movie for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. So. Freaking. Excited.
Anyway, I could go on all day about that. I'm not sure that would make for an exciting post for some of you, though. So, I'll just delve into some highlights from last month on my Instagram account. As always, you can find me as "wendybanner". I do follow back accounts that are not spam. Don't follow me, wait for me to follow back, and then unfollow right after. I see that is the trend now and I'm not down with that.

July 2016 Faves
My birth month has come and gone! We're in August already and this year is flying by. I guess I should start planning my back to school posts, because it is right around the corner for some of you! I am just excited that we are one step closer to autumn- my favorite season!
This is my beauty and skincare favorites, but for a random favorite? Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The feeling of having a new Harry Potter story in my hands again was a feeling I had forgotten about. Part of me wanted to read it slow and make it last longer, but I couldn't. I just couldn't. I finished it in a day and that magical feeling is still with me. But oh, how I hate having to say goodbye yet again. As long as JK keeps posting things on Pottermore, maybe it will suffice and I will be okay. Maybe.
Here are my favorites from last month!
- SkinAgain Vanish cream - I can't wait to review these. Because it is a scar cream, it's taking a little more time to review.
- SkinAgain AHA Exfoliating Cleanser - So gentle and smells great. Will review with the scar cream soon!
- Travalo Classic HD Perfume Atomizer - Read my review here, but these are so great for carrying your perfume with you!
- Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl - See my review here. A beautiful glow!
- Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter - This pairs perfectly with the foundation and pearl highlighter! Review is coming soon.
- CoverGirl Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Foundation - A great drugstore foundation. And it has a pump- score! Review is here.
