In March, I first shared six good romance reads in the age gap trope. In the spirit of December being here, I am here to share six good Christmas romance books. As a matter of fact, I have enough to make two posts if this one sparks interest or I can save them for next year. I've been on a holiday reading kick since November kicked off. There has been some clunkers, but quite a few winners. It's always hit or miss with holiday books, isn't it? It is easy to fall into that cheesy category, though sometimes that works in the tale's favor. I typically prefer the ones rooted a little more in reality.
And I just went with a Christmas themed photo from my archive. Who doesn't love themed donuts? These were from Krispy Kreme last year or the year before. I love that this year's is Peanuts themed. May have to splurge on those. Come on, a Snoopy donut? It's somewhere between a want and a need. 😄

Fall 2025 VIB Sephora Sale
The Sephora VIB Sale is coming up and I figured I would corral a few of my favorite picks from this year's value sets. Usually I use the sale at the earlier time of the year to restock or buy from the permanent selections, but I like to use this later one to take advantage of any of the gift sets for the holidays. I much prefer this fall savings one!
I've put together five picks in three categories: skincare, perfume, and makeup. Would you be surprised if I said it's the perfume selection this year that excites me the most? The sets are darn good this time around. The best part is that all of these picks are under $70 CAD and you can divvy up the sets to gift multiple people in gifts and stockings, if you're wanting to stretch your budget.

LAWLESS Forget the Filler Perfecting Cream
The full name is a little longer than the title, but here are my thoughts on the LAWLESS Forget the Filler Skin-Plumping Line-Smoothing Perfecting Cream. See? Way longer, so let's just call it an all-encompassing perfecting cream that operates as a moisturizer and makeup primer. I might just be aligned with the beauty loving part of the universe because while typing out this review, it sold out on the Sephora Canada website. That might give you an idea of where this review is going to go!

2025 Advent Calendars
I feel like every year advent calendars get better and better and at the same time harder and harder to decide which one to get. Last year, I chose a jigsaw puzzle one. Every day was 20 new pieces to put together the big picture. That was a lot of fun because it gave us an activity to do together. There really is something out there for everyone and they are more wide reaching now.
I've put a list together of a few that I think are fun! I don't know which one I'm going with this year yet and I'm kind of leaning towards something I haven't done yet. A treat a day, I mean you can't really lose with whatever you pick!

Jac and Jill's Bakeshop Review - GTA and Toronto
On September 7th, Fashionable Heart turned 18 years old! Can y'all believe it? I sure can't. This little space of mine has brought so many experiences and opportunities into my life but most importantly, people and community. I'm so grateful for all of it, so thank you for being along for the journey!
I am giving a review of Jac and Jill's Bakeshop, which is local to the GTA/Toronto region and the cutest little bakery. These were my birthday treats in July, but it felt suitable to share the review while I celebrate the longevity of my blog. Another thing to celebrate is that Jac and Jill are two Canadian sisters that started this adventure together and they are doing BIG things. Love that for them!
