LAWLESS Forget the Filler Perfecting Cream

The full name is a little longer than the title, but here are my thoughts on the LAWLESS Forget the Filler Skin-Plumping Line-Smoothing Perfecting Cream. See? Way longer, so let's just call it an all-encompassing perfecting cream that operates as a moisturizer and makeup primer. I might just be aligned with the beauty loving part of the universe because while typing out this review, it sold out on the Sephora Canada website. That might give you an idea of where this review is going to go!

2025 Advent Calendars

I feel like every year advent calendars get better and better and at the same time harder and harder to decide which one to get. Last year, I chose a jigsaw puzzle one. Every day was 20 new pieces to put together the big picture. That was a lot of fun because it gave us an activity to do together. There really is something out there for everyone and they are more wide reaching now.

I've put a list together of a few that I think are fun! I don't know which one I'm going with this year yet and I'm kind of leaning towards something I haven't done yet. A treat a day, I mean you can't really lose with whatever you pick!

Jac and Jill's Bakeshop Review - GTA and Toronto

On September 7th, Fashionable Heart turned 18 years old! Can y'all believe it? I sure can't. This little space of mine has brought so many experiences and opportunities into my life but most importantly, people and community. I'm so grateful for all of it, so thank you for being along for the journey!

I am giving a review of Jac and Jill's Bakeshop, which is local to the GTA/Toronto region and the cutest little bakery. These were my birthday treats in July, but it felt suitable to share the review while I celebrate the longevity of my blog. Another thing to celebrate is that Jac and Jill are two Canadian sisters that started this adventure together and they are doing BIG things. Love that for them!

Cheekbone Beauty Complexion Pencil in Fair 1

Coming in today with a quick review of the complexion pencil by Cheekbone Beauty! I grabbed this in my birthday haul when I was getting my free gift from Sephora, so I've had over a month of using it and thought I would pop in here and give a swatch and initial thoughts on it. This is my second Cheekbone Beauty item, the first being a lip gloss. I hope to support them more as an Indigenous woman-owned Canadian brand, but also because I hear good things about their other offerings. So if you have tried them, please let me know what else I should try!

My Book Outlet Birthday Haul

My birthday recently passed and I'm still taking advantage of some of the discounts. Bonus points to the companies that have a lengthier amount of time for redemption! One birthday discount I put to use was for Book Outlet. Combined with our reward points and cash back with Rakuten (my referral link), I got everything I ordered for under $70 CAD! There's three books I'm not showing because they are part of Larry's Christmas gifts. What a deal for 7 books!

They have a pretty decent selection. You may not find everything on your TBR list, but you won't step away disappointed. If you're anything like me, you actually end up adding more books to your wishlist from browsing. Oops! If there's one thing I do miss, it is the Book Outlet's physical location. Everything is now only online, but they do have both an American and Canadian website.

This haul showcases my love for romance and classics. Two of my favorite genres! I actually haven't read a classic in a while, so I need to rectify that soon. If you're on Goodreads or Fable, I'm happy to connect! I prefer Fable and that's where you can find my reviews. It's also great for tracking TV and is more social than GR. The breakdowns on the profile are fantastic. Highly recommend!
