MBMJ Wishlist!

Currently excited: my husband's home!
Currently hoping: to get some things done around the house
Currently feeling: organized

Larry is off today, so this is just a short and sweet entry! It's pretty much decided that he is taking me to Chicago in July for my birthday. The main reason he chose Chicago? The Harry Potter Exhibition! Yes, I'm one of those types of people. :P And because of this, I'm also making my wishlist of places to go, shop, eat, etc. I make lists of everything and did this same exact thing last year when we went.

Besides Harry, the other best thing for me is the fact that they have a Marc Jacobs store. I cannot help it. I am completely obsessed with the man and everything he touches. It's not a hidden fact that he is my absolute favorite designer. With that said, I made a small wishlist of his special items I'm wanting. And please don't tell me that I don't know how to bargain shop, because the most expensive price listed below is $35. That's a steal!

1. Fabric zip clutch. Available in 14 different patterns. $15
2. Flip flops. Available in 5 different colors. $11
3. Gem necklace. $19
4. Geo Heart umbrella. $18
5. Quilted evening bag. Available in 5 different colors. $35

Renovations and Inspiration.

Currently watching: The Simpsons
Currently upset: Steven Page left Barenaked Ladies
Currently feeling: accomplished

I don't think I've ever made a post like this on here. First time for everything! I'm in the middle of redecorating my bathroom. I want it bright and girly, as it is the only room in our condo that is truly mine. I'll share a few pictures of some of the things I have purchased and tell you what I've done with each of them. :) After taking three hours to clean my bathroom up the other night, it really motivated me to organize it even more and just made me realize that it all needed a facelift. I'll try to remember to take a picture when it's all done.

3 tin set from Ikea
I already owned one set of these that I keep all of my hairbows in. I bought this second set to hold more of my hair things in the two larger tins. I have a lot of hair things! I use the little one to hold my eyeliners and lipliners.

3 tin set from Ikea
The big one is being used as my makeup tray. The medium one is storing my nail polishes, clippers, and other nail care items. And the round one is being used to hold my toothpaste, facial sponge, daily lotion, and other little things.

3 tin set from Ikea
The big one is being used to store my hair straightener and curling iron. The medium one is storing cough drops, medicine, etc. that would not fit into my medicine cabinet. And the small one is holding my makeup brushes.

floral DKNY shower curtain from Bed, Bath, & Beyond
This is my new shower curtain. I got just a basic white liner to go with it. I wanted a simple shower curtain to draw attention to my new hot pink bath rug.

flower shower hooks from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
I had to have these the minute I saw them! They are adorable!

As for under the sink organization, I bought a pull-out tiered unit from Bed, Bath, and Beyond that I am using to store my bath gels, razors, etc. And I got a big shelving tray that I will be using to create more space under there. I have one on top of my bathroom counter that has created tons of room!

I'm thinking of painting my walls pink. I'm also thinking of covering a few of the tins that I bought with a floral wallpaper as to bring out the flowers in the shower curtain. I have yet to decide. I want to see what it all looks like together first. So hopefully this post has inspired you with a little creativity and motivation! :)

This is my philosophy.

Currently listening: Cry by Kelly Clarkson
Currently reading: Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Currently feeling: still a bit down in the dumps

So I got this on Valentine's Day! And I've been using it ever since. Here is my review!

philosophy the present clear makeup

This is a primer much like the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but is great to be used everywhere on your face. It goes on like lotion and you'll honestly notice a smoothing effect the minute you put it on. A little goes a long way! It creates a lovely base for your foundation and concealer. It gives a longer-lasting effect to your foundation, which means less reapplications of your facial powders! I found that it also helps prevent caking from happening. There are also Smashbox and Benefit versions. The only reason I chose this one over the Benefit "That Gal" primer is that Benefit's also lightens your complexion. I have their Dandelion powder that gives that same effect.

I do recommend philosophy's the present clear makeup facial primer! I can see this being a permanent stay in my makeup case. :)

Oscar is a nice name.

Currently listening: Chasing Pavements by Adele
Currently doing: adding all of my apps back on my iPod, because I had to restore it :(
Currently feeling: rejected

The Oscars were last night. I don't tend to enjoy award shows, but I do always love seeing what people wore. Sadly, it seems that most people bailed out on the red carpet with only a handful actually walking it. I'll share my favorites and a few not-so-great ones. I won't comment on all of them because some of them just need no comments.

Hits:

Natalie Portman and Penelope Cruz.

Kate Winslet and Sarah Jessica Parker.
I loved Kate's speech for Best Actress and her dress! She had me emotional and when she asked her dad to whistle at her so she would know where he was seated...I could not help but giggle! So cute!

Alicia Keys and Taraji Henson.
I actually can't make up my mind fully on Alicia's dress. I love the color, but I don't care so much about the slit up the front. If it were anything but the Oscars, I would not mind it. However at the same time, I like that it adds something that you would not expect to the dress.

Tina Fey and Jennifer Aniston with John Mayer.

Daniel Craig and Sean Penn.

Misses:

Mickey Rourke.
Though I think it is very sweet that he wears a picture of his beloved dog that just passed away a few days ago. What a lovely tribute!

Whoopi.

Tilda Swinton and Beyonce.
Shapeless sacks and wallpaper patterns are never the way to go, ladies.

Hilarious video of Natalie and Ben Stiller (acting like Joaquin!):

Benefit is beneficial.

Currently listening: Kelly Clarkson
Currently figuring out: how to get my iPod touch to start responding again :/
Currently feeling: upset about my iPod

Benefit Erase Paste
I got this about two weeks ago and it's honestly one of the best concealers I have purchased. A little bit goes a long way so the little tub it comes in will last a good while. It's especially great for covering the dark circles under your eyes on those days that you don't get enough sleep. I find that it does not dry out my skin or look flaky. I recommend this product!

Katy Perry at the 2009 Brit Awards

Oh my! Katy Perry obviously struck a deal with either MAC or Hello Kitty, because this is just like the MAC Hello Kitty line. I view this as a tragedy as opposed to an advertising triumph, though! I love that she has fun with fashion, but having fun does not mean that you should sell yourself out to brands and wear pants that look like they are straight of Sandy in Grease.

I do not deny that I am spoiled. :)

Currently listening: Eyes On Fire by Blue Foundation
Currently wondering: what to wear tonight
Currently feeling: sleepy

Ok...so Valentine's Day was fabulous! It was lovely to have it on a Saturday. :) We started the day by exchanging gifts. We went out to dinner at a nice restaurant. Our tradition is to do one of two places for dinner- Kelsey's or a Greek restaurant. This year we went for Kelsey's since last year we did Greek food. They have the best four cheese spinach dip I have ever put into my mouth. My husband spoiled me a great deal. And I tried to do the same for him!

The most adorable bag ever.

Inside this wonderful box is a pink wristlet. The wristlet is now being used in my purse to carry my iPod, Skull Candy earphones, and my FM transmitter. :)

- card, MAC pigments in teal and violet, Urban Decay Urban Ammo palette, Hello Kitty lip balm, Hello Kitty nail polish, NARS Orgasm Lip Gloss
He obviously knows my love of makeup. Perhaps they are not typical Valentine gifts, but trust me when I say that they are perfect for me. The card was beautiful, but I fail at remembering to take certain pictures so no picture of the card. Oops! Speaking of oops moments, poor Larry got me the philosophy the present clear makeup and NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm which I have already ordered with Sephora. It's ok, though. I'm using the ones he got me now, and I'll return the other two for something else when I get them.

- cute Ty Beanie Babies monkeys named Romeo and Juliet, philosophy primer (as pictured above), NARS lip gloss (as pictured above), Coach Madison Leather Wristlet in pink/brass, UD Urban Ammo palette (as pictured above

-Hello Kitty Nail Lacquer in On The Prowl, HK Lip Conditioner in Pink Fish, HK Lip Glass in Sweet Strawberry, and MAC pigment (as pictured above)
I was going to get the MAC HK lipstick, but I ended up liking the Lip Glass shade more. :)

Not pictured: In Touch magazine and a dozen assorted Mrs. Field's Cookies...which made for a happy Sunday of lazy reading and cookie munching. A perfect day, in other words.

Now, I have to go and get ready. I'm finally meeting someone close to my age and we are going to see the So You Think You Can Dance Canada tour tonight. I'm really excited! If you think the US version has talent, you should see the Canadian one. :) I get the best of both worlds since I get to watch both.

Sephora = Love.

Currently listening: Before Your Love by Kelly Clarkson
Currently reading: New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Currently feeling: rushed to finish Lar's Valentine's gift

Sookie: What if what I'm wishing for is actually coming true?
Lorelai: Quick, wish for a Sephora within walking distance!

One of my favorite moments from one of my favorite TV shows, Gilmore Girls! I have to admit that I am not only just addicted to makeup, but I am addicted to the stores that sell it. Especially Sephora! I have a real weakness that sets in the minute I come within a certain radius of one of their stores. :) I'm going to share some of the things that I just ordered recently. Once I get them and try them, I will review them here.

Valentine + MAC Hello Kitty Wishlist

Currently laughing: that I wrote Hello Killer instead of Hello Kitty (before editing) in the title bar
Currently giving a 2nd chance to: UPS...if Friday falls through, I'm going to kick them...very hard
Currently feeling: annoyed that my cat stepped on my laptop and closed it so I had to turn everything back on

So here is what I put on my Valentine wishlist for my husband. The first picture is the random things and the second picture is what I'm wanting from the MAC Hello Kitty Collection. Some of you might think that takes the surprise out of it all, but I have to respectably disagree. I am giving him choices to go by. And the only way you can get what you want from men is to just tell them!

Random little note...

Just to say that I changed the layout! It was Mary-Kate Olsen, as most of you know. It was time for a change. I've really been feeling Lauren Conrad's style lately. She goes from casual to glam in an effortlessly chic way. :) The lyric is from Circus by Britney Spears. My countdown for her concert in March has already started!

I won something? Wow!

Hey guys! On Friday, Threadless was having a day of giving on their Twitter page. For four hours, they gave coupon codes for people to pick up and use. Somehow luck was on my side, because it was the very last one that I managed to use the code and get a shirt. For FREE (shipping and everything included)! I can't rave about this site enough. The shirts are amazing quality and have awesome drawings or sayings on them. For instance, the next shirt that I want from them says "Rock is dead...and paper killed it." :D

This is the shirt I got this time:

Thursday has flare.

Currently watching: The Rachael Ray Show
Currently working: on cellphone wallpapers
Currently feeling: annoyed

I just put an order through Fred Flare recently. I am really excited to get it in the mail! :)

Risky Business Sunglasses- $11 - located here
I had to get these. They are like the ones that Kelly Clarkson wears in her new video for My Life Would Suck Without You. I do not deny that I am a fangirl, but nor can I deny that these glasses did not scream my name the minute I saw them. I normally don't like "Wayfarer"esque glasses, but this color is playful. And honestly, I can't justify spending $100+ on glasses that I would only wear for maybe a season or two.

Hello Kitty Cinnamon Candy Tin- $4 - located here
Maybe it's my love of Hello Kitty or the fact that Valentine's Day is so near...but I had to get these. I figure I will use the tin afterwards to store my earbuds in my purse. I'll give the candy to my husband, since I don't like cinnamon. It's a win-win situation!

Peace Sign Necklace - $10 - located here
My trademark is big necklaces, so I could not pass this up. It's so cute!

Cell = Lifeline.

Currently listening: Womanizer by Lily Allen (fun cover!)
Currently working on: some graphics
Currently feeling: contemplative

So I ordered two new faceplates for my LG enV2 online last night from DayDeal. I really needed one for my phone and with my 10% off coupon code, I decided to get two! And if you are in the States, shipping on their cell phone accessories is free. If you're in Canada, it's still pretty cheap. The code is VDAY10 and is good until Feb. 8th, I believe. :) They have a lot of items for many phone models.

black sequined rubberized faceplate
I was going to get the red version, but they were sold out. Then, I thought...I like the black. It's classic and simple. It's one that I won't get tired of, so really I think the black was a good fit for me.

pink cherry blossom faceplate
I have been feeling extra girly lately and I adore pink. So this screamed "Please get me!" at me. How could I refuse? :D

This is my phone. The background has changed since then, but I still have the Coach daisy flower cell lanyard on it. And soon I'll have one of my pretty new faceplates on it.

My current background is one that I just recently cropped from a cute Juicy Couture picture. If your resolution is 320 x 240, feel free to use it. :)

Show me a picture of your phone or faceplate! I want to see!
