Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt with Coconut Oil

Here's one thing to know about me. I don't mind showers, but I'm definitely a bath person. I take more showers out of convenience, but there's nothing like taking the time to draw a hot bath and just soak while getting lost in a Spotify playlist, meditation guide, or audiobook. Sign me up!

I just took a hot bath (thanks to the stomach cramps provided by Aunt Flow- not my favorite aunt by any means) and chose audiobook this time. I'm listening to The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish. I knew it would be good for some laughs and it has not disappointed me. Plus, that chick has lived a life and a half- worth a read! Usually I prefer reading text as opposed to audio, but I really think audio helps certain books come alive. Especially books by comedians. Like try listening to any of Ellen's books with a straight face the whole time, for example.

Some days I'm all about the bath bomb or milk, others I want all the bubbles, but I always want epsom salt. It's a miracle worker! I depend on it for any sore muscle and my dry skin. I've used different brands, but Dr. Teal's is my #1. I have the lavender one that is my best friend for night baths and I was recently sent the coconut oil version. I couldn't say no to trying them out and the new Foaming Bath. Read my thoughts below!

When my knee injury happened, I discovered the wonderfulness that is epsom salt baths. Honestly, I'm mad at myself for not catching on quicker. Nothing made my knee feel as good in those early days as a hot epsom salt soak in the tub and just letting my leg float. Getting in and out of the tub with only one good leg was a different issue, but it was worth it. Ha!

I like regular epsom salts, but the scented ones add a nice flair. In particular, while the coconut does have a nice scent, that coconut oil works at hydrating the skin. It's a win-win between the exfoliating of the salts and the hydration of the coconut oil. And one of my friends on Instagram might be a bath genius, because she said she combines different formulas to get the results she wants. I see a lavender and coconut bath in my future!

And the real star of the show? The new Foaming Bath. It's a huge bottle! I love the blue of it. I wish the top was different, as I don't like open ones that much. I prefer push tops that help how much comes out. Not a dealbreaker for me, by any means. The smell of coconut is there, but it is not overwhelming and stays on the skin for a while. I love the scent it leaves on the skin- so fresh! When it comes down to it, it has the great qualities of the epsom salts and it foams like you wouldn't believe. When it comes to bubble baths, I'm like Bubbles in Finding Nemo. My bubbles!

Have you hopped on the epsom salt bath train yet? Please do! They are amazing. I think we may all need to try my friend's idea of combining multiple ones. That's one of the best ideas I've heard in a while in the beauty and skincare community.
