  1. MAC Viva Glam Gaga lipstick - So pretty!
  2. Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners - I'm in love with the formula and color selection.
  3. Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment - The only C&C product that works for me and it works well.
  4. MAC Cultureclash lipglass (Spring Colour) - Such a pretty pink that looks good alone or layered.
  5. MAC Quad 3 (Spring Colour) - I love a purple smokey eye.
  6. Vera Wang Princess perfume - Possibly my new favorite go-to scent!

You know the drill. Feel free to share your favorites from this month!

Ack!

If you hear a loud bang, that's just me throwing my laptop against the wall. I'm suffering from major computer malfunctions at the moment. I believe it all started with a Facebook virus. Someone added me to their list and my account instantly added them back. I had never heard of the name, but I did notice right before deleting them from my friends list that the account was using the email of a former contact of mine. In further searches, I noticed that there were about 30+ accounts under that same name. The name in question is "Alphonse Dupont". Please be careful of this!

Just one day after that, I got a blue screen on my computer. Now my drives and programs are acting up. Luckily, I have everything backed up. So I'll be completely rebooting my computer momentarily. Due to this happening, I don't have my pictures on hand to do a post for today. If you don't hear from me tomorrow, you can assume that I'm still having computer issues. :( Bleh!

And be on the lookout for any viruses. It's sad when you can't even be safe on Facebook...

Monday's Shopping Trip

Currently watching: Bonnie Hunt
Currently upset: I think my laptop is dying
Currently feeling: sad

My husband took Monday off of work and we took advantage of our full day together by going downtown! A day of shopping and dinner with a friend equaled a nice day out. :)

My hauls from Sephora, MAC, and Trade Secrets. :)

MAC's Select Sheer face powder in NW20. I needed a new powder to carry with me in my purse, so I thought this would be nice for touch-ups during the day. I also grabbed another eyeshadow palette. I'm stocking up before the new ones come out. I like the idea of the clear lid, but I don't like the glossy black finish or the way that you're expected to get the eyeshadow in and out.

OPI's Strawberry Margarita and Absolutely Alice. Absolutely Alice is LE from the Alice In Wonderland Collection and it's gorgeous. I have it layered on top of China Glaze's For Audrey right now.

I don't know why it took me getting the two in my Alice palette for me to try these. They are fantastically creamy and easy to apply. I have to review these, because I'm truly impressed.

Just to compare the different sizes from those sold separately and those sold in palettes and sample boxes.

I really wanted this bag, but I couldn't find it in the store. I thought this was a good substitute along the same idea. This picture doesn't give it much justice, so you can see it on the Urban Outfitters website here. However, they don't have this color available online at the moment. I don't have a purse this color and it's the perfect pastel color for spring!

I am in love with this! It's a rose umbrella jewelry tray from Urban Outfitters. It was too girly and adorable for me to pass up. I was in the market for a new ring holder and this fits right on my bathroom shelf and matches my decor. And the best part is that it is really inexpensive!

I was going to go to the MAC Pro store while downtown, but Monday was an absolutely miserable day as far as weather went. I almost fell three times while just walking two blocks, so I wasn't up for the challenge of walking there! Eek! I will either save it for a sunny day or I'll call in the order. I love MAC, but I don't love it enough to chance bodily harm! :P

MAC Haul

Currently watching: Lost (trying to catch up for tonight!)
Currently drinking: water
Currently feeling: worried

This small haul is from when the Gaga and Cyndi lipsticks were released. I'm just now getting around to posting it. Tomorrow, I'll post what I got during yesterday's shopping trip!

I will be reviewing the Cleanse Off Oil soon. I got the Phloof! with B2M, so yay for freebies! It's a fantastic highlighter shade for both the brow bone and for your face. It does have shimmer so if you prefer matte, then I would not suggest this.

I wanted to compare Gaga to Colour Crafted because some people were thinking it's similar. I don't really think so. Gaga is a much cooler-toned lipstick. I was also trying to show how Gaga can be layered to create a more vivid pink, but my swatch failed miserably when being photographed. Also because it is a cool shade, I would not recommend this to girls with olive skin.

The new pigment packaging from the top. I think I will do a comparison later on of the old vs. new packaging like I did with the new quads.

Golden Olive pigment swatch. This color is gorgeous. I've been wanting it awhile and I'm really glad I finally broke down and got it!

To show how Viva Glam Gaga can be layered lightly and not be a bright pink! Had I put about two more layers, it would be closer to the Pink Nouveau lipstick. I also have Phloof! on as my highlighter on my cheeks, nose, and brow bone. :)

ASOS Curve

Currently doing: organzing closet
Currently happy: it's Friday!
Currently feeling: driven

ASOS has recently released a plus-sized line and I'm absolutely excited and delighted. Many of the articles of clothing are stylish and classic. However, my eyes stopped at this tunic. It's horrendous in that there is no way it would do anyone's body any favors. It looks like an unfashionable tent. The line is called "Curve", so why sell a tent that covers them? I love most of the rest of the line and can hopefully put in an order soon!

I won't be posting Monday, as I'll be gone all day out on the town. :) Thanks for joining the fan page on FB! Have a fantastic weekend!

Gifts From a Friend- UK Style!

Currently listening: Glee!
Currently excited: my BFF just got engaged!
Currently feeling: stressed

Now on to the gifts! My friend Amanda now lives near London, but she still travels back to Toronto from time-to-time. She happened to utter that fantastic phrase of "Is there anything you want me to grab for you?" The short answer to that was "Yesssssssssss!" as I nearly fell off the couch in glee.

I've been wanting to go to England for quite some time now and have yet to go, but I follow everything from their fashion and shopping to their makeup and music (that's the condensed version of what I love!). I suppose you could say I'm a bit of an Anglophile!

Night In Shining Armour Cream and The Fab Pore by Soap & Glory. I made sure to ask for ones that I can't find here! I am looking forward to trying these.

Barry M. Nail Paints! I have been wanting to try Barry M. anything for a long time, but I fell in love with these colors on the website.

Sleek Ink Pot. I have been wanting to try a gel eyeliner for awhile now, and I have heard good things about the Sleek ones. If I like it, I might just have to beg for some of the other colors!

Sleek Sunset Palette. I have loved reading about the Sleek palettes online, so I was most excited about getting one of them. I didn't care which one, I just knew I wanted one! I really like that the Sunset palette is a nice mix of brights and neutrals. I'm going to have fun playing with this! :)

Thank you for grabbing all of this for me, Amanda! You rock!

Random Tidbits:
Let me give you a friendly reminder that you
must be following my blog to enter my contest. Also, thank you to those who offered thoughts to my uncle. He is home and on his way to a recovery. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers!

Valentine's Day Gifts

Currently listening: My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson
Currently thinking: what to give up for Lent
Currently feeling: happy

I'm sorry for not updating yesterday, but it was a holiday here so I spent the day with my hubster. :) That brings me to a question? Do you guys like that I update daily or should I just start updating maybe once every three days? Let me know what you think!

I thought I would share a few of my Valentine's Day gifts. My husband has a "Wendy Wishlist" that I update every now and then that he can get ideas from. I had no idea that he planned on spoiling me so much this weekend. I think he just knows that I've been having a rough time the past few weeks and just wanted to do something to make me smile. I could tell he put a lot of thought into everything and that is what makes me smile. I might be materialistic at times, but trust me when I say that I know that holidays are not measured by the gifts that you get.

With that said, this blog is all about gifts, hauls, reviews, etc. So dang it, I'm gonna share what I got with you! Ha!

He knows I love Bath & Body Works, but he had no idea what scents I have/like. He actually guessed with this one and he had no idea that it's one I've been meaning to try! It also came with a cute pink frame that I'll put a picture of us in. :)

What's Valentine's Day without yummy items? The two pictures above are likely to cause a sugar overload. The first picture is all Laura Secord. Yes, those are Sex & the City chocolates! I haven't opened them yet, but all of the girls have their own flavors and chocolate design. I'll take pictures later. The second picture has my pumpkin coffee K-Cups, a sugar cookie, and random chocolates and candies.

My first blue box!

Vera Wang Princess perfume, Old Navy giftcard, same Tiffany box as above, and the Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette. A review and pictures to come on the Princess perfume and UD palette!

Inside my Tiffany box? A Tiffany key! It's very delicate and it really is perfection.

Not Pictured:
Toronto Rock lacrosse game- I got on the jumbo screen at the game! Wee!
Toronto Rock jersey with my favorite player's number on the back
two lovely dinners out on Saturday and Sunday evenings
breakfast in bed on Monday morning
Gossip Girl Seasons 1-2 DVD
yellow roses with red tips
and a few other little random knick-knacks. <3

All-in-all, it was a lovely weekend. I've never really minded Valentine's Day, even when I was single. I love LOVE and enjoy any day that I get to put it in the spotlight even more. I hope you all had a lovely holiday and spread a little love and joy to your loved ones!

Valentine's Day: Pink Lips

Currently eating: Subway
Currently excited: going to a lacrosse game tonight!
Currently feeling: antsy

Ok ok, I know. I go on and on about my love of pink lips, but I have an excuse this time! It's going to be Valentine's Day and a smoky eye and pink lips are a perfect combo for a romantic look. In this post I'm going to show you how to get "your own perfect pink lip". Perhaps you haven't found the perfect shade of pink lipstick for you, so hopefully this will help without you even having to buy one. I'm sure a lot of you have these two things in your makeup collection.

Now with the lip stain, you can layer it on. So if you want a darker rosier color, add more lip stain to your lips. Then, cover it with the nude lipstick. This is going to give the red color that pink tinge. The picture below is with one layer of the Benetint and one layer of my Creme d'Nude. You will get similar results with other stains and nude lipsticks! So go experiment and find your perfect shade!

Happy Valentine's Day weekend!

Remembering McQueen

Lee McQueen died today at age 40. Gone far too soon, and the fashion world will miss him tremendously! If you don't know, Lee McQueen was the designer and founder of the Alexander McQueen line.

I absolutely love that he was capable of creating both glamorous and outlandish pieces at the same time. I can see why he was a favorite of Sarah Jessica Parker and Lady Gaga. Many people know him for his infamous skull scarf that has been worn by many celebrities and trendsetters in recent years. He often went for the shock factor and completely succeeded.

I thought I would share two of my favorite elegant pieces followed by two of my favorite costume pieces. Either way, McQueen was fabulous and I will miss his flair.

Ok, maybe these are not a favorite but they sure are fierce. Seeing Gaga do a runway walk in shoes like these during her Bad Romance video is embedded in my mind.
