Spoiled Girls

My husband bought me a gift certificate that can be redeemed at a spa of my choice (it gives a load of options to choose from). This may surprise you, but I'm not one for spoiling myself like that. Aside from getting my eyebrows waxed, I do everything else myself. I have had one manicure in my life and that was for my wedding.

Sure I indulge in skincare, makeup, etc., but I learn everything on my own. I'm almost uncomfortable at the thought of it being someone else doing it! Even getting my eyebrows done is a chore for me and I probably wouldn't if I did not end up looking like a hairy gorilla after awhile. Not too mention I can take the pain of waxing and plucking when administered from someone else, but if it's me doing it, I whimper like a baby. ;P

I am torn on what to choose with this gift. Every spa offers something different. There are scalp treatments, facials, pedicures, manicures, massages, waxing...the list goes on. Luckily, it doesn't expire for a year because it could possibly take me that long just to decide! Have you ever been to a spa? What do you do to spoil yourself? Do you prefer to do things yourself or are you in absolute heaven having someone else pamper you?

If there is one thing that is certain, we all should be pampered in one way or another. We absolutely deserve it. If you're not being pampered, you need to set aside a "me hour" at least once a week and just focus on YOU!

massage and body scrub are the best! :) And as much I want to do things myself, i dont know how, except waxing my legs. everything else is done in the salon.

I soo wanna go to the spa right now :)

Have fun Wendy! :)

I haven't been to a proper spa before, but I have gone to a nail place once (for prom).
The only "spa treatment" I really want to try is threading. There is a little place at my local mall that does threading, so I'm going to try that soon.

@ilvoeshopping- A body scrub sounds nice! I have such dry skin, that the word scrub always sounds so heavenly. :)

@alvira- This is very true! The gift certificate was not cheap and it's only good for one or two services, depending on the spa chosen.

@Lillian- I am such a wimp! I can withstand waxing, but the idea of threading makes me tremble. If you get it done, please let me know how it went and the pain factor. :)
