Special Saturday Post!

Just a quick note to say...

I hope that if you're going to party that you have a safe and fun night! Don't eat too much candy. Don't explode from eating too much candy. :) If you are dressing up, what is your costume?! I'll live vicariously through you, because I'm pretty sure I'm staying inside all day. Gotta love being sick during holidays. :(

Have a safe night!

Haul Pt. 3

Currently drinking: water
Currently thinking: about sleep
Currently feeling: like my head is going to explode

Here's the Target part of my haul! I can't go into the States without not going to Target. :) This haul is nothing too exciting to most, but you can easily skip this post! I did also get some leggings with side zippers, which I forgot to photograph. It's close to winter weather here in Canada and you can't exactly wear dresses and skirts comfortably without tights or leggings!

Who doesn't love the Dollar Zone at Target?! I always stock up on notepads, stickers, etc. With these, I post them in my planner with little notes. Or sometimes I just cut the design out and glue it somewhere for a cute pick-me-up. My planner = my life.

Got these cute stickers for my planner! For any important date, I put a sticker by it so that it sticks out at me when I open the page. And I fell in love with this iPod nano case the minute I saw it. I really needed a case for my nano to keep it from getting scratched, so I was pretty happy to find this on clearance.

Remington Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer. Not the best picture of them, but you get the idea. The minute I saw the pink ones, I had to get them. My whole bathroom is pretty much all pink. I have been using the same hair dryer since high school, so I decided it was high time to get a new one. And my straightener is too big and bulky, so I'm excited to try this slim one. And the hair dryer has several settings and a cool setting, which my other dryer failed to have. They also have other cute prints. If that leopard print had been pink, I would have jumped on it! Can't say no to polka dots either, though. :) straightener, dryer

Soap & Glory Feel the Knead soap and Scrub Your Face Off facial wipes, Vaseline body gel, Kashuk blending sponge, Neutrogena facial wipes, and an Ecotools travel kabuki brush. You guys know I love Soap & Glory! I love my blending sponge so much, that I had to buy another one. Stand by for reviews on everything after I've had a chance to try it all out!

Tomorrow's haul on MAC might be postponed until Monday. I've caught the flu and I've been heavily medicated for the past two days. I still feel as though I've been run over by a transfer truck. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. Just to give you a head's up if you don't see a post from me tomorrow!

Michigan Haul Pt. 2

Currently watching: Rachael Ray
Currently thinking: of sleep!
Currently feeling: horrible! I have the flu! :(

Here's part two of my haul! This is the hair and body part of it all. Tomorrow is Target and Friday is the CCO/MAC part! If I think to take pictures, I'll show my Gap and Old Navy haul later on, as well. Have I mentioned how much I love outlets?! Remember to stay tuned! :)

Pure Seduction lotion, Pear Glace lotion, 2 Love Spell sprays (giving one as a gift), Pure Seduction spray, Pear Glace spray, and Dream Angels Heavenly perfume. What can I say? I like to smell nice! Big sale on these!

Juicy Couture perfume, Bumble and bumble Seaweed shampoo, CHI Volume Booster, and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I'm glad I got the Eight Hour Cream package, because apparently only one of the four items (being the cream itself) is sold in Canada! I'm looking forward to trying it out and reviewing it for you guys.

And the Juicy perfume has already taken it's place in my vanity area:

KC concert / Pt. 1 of Haul!

Currently listening: Lady GaGa! Got my ticket for November!
Currently thinking: I'm getting a sore throat. :(
Currently feeling: happy

I'm back from Troy/Detroit, Michigan! I stayed in Troy, which was a really lovely city. The concert itself was at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. I don't have to say how amazing the concert was, because that's honestly a given with the lovely Kelly Clarkson. I'm pretty excited because she sang Chivas (the first time I've heard her sing it at a concert!!) and the best part is that Larry caught me a guitar pick from one of her guitarists! :) I almost died when he handed it to me! It makes up for the fact that I couldn't manage to get a single decent picture.

Afterwards, I met Will who is the lead singer for Parachute. I also talked to Cory, one of Kelly's guitarists. Larry asked if I could go on tour and be a triangle player and Cory said "Sure, why not?!" So sorry everybody, the triangle is apparently mine to play. Ding! :D It's really sad that I waited almost two hours for Jill and Kate (her back-up singers) to come out, but they never did. The night was still a success, though!

Anyway, I did quite a bit of shopping at the outlets and whatnot. So I'm going to break it up into categories this week. Just easier that way! I'll do accessories today. :)

F21 was actually kind of a letdown. The ones in Chicago are much better! I did get two owl necklaces that I can't wait to wear. I don't have much gold jewelry, so I branched out (ha, a pun on words) with the gold owl! With the necklaces, I actually take them off the chain and put them on my own. And most of you know by now that I can't say no to bows. Necklace 1, Necklace 2, hairbows

I've been wanting the Juicy Couture engagement ring keyfob forever. Finally got it! I haven't decided if I want to put it on my keys or on my Daydreamer tote. I think they have stopped making this particular design, because they have the new ones out now. New one is here.

Urban Outfitters always has fun stuff. I have the first Listography book, but I'm really excited about this music-themed one. I love making lists of everything! I got two adorable key covers of a panda and polar bear. I'm obsessed beyond belief with bears (especially polar bears). And I got the Stones shirt because my husband is a huge fan. I see another Stones concert in my future and I want to be prepared. Plus, I love the vintage look to the shirt and it's a men's shirt so it's extremely comfy. book, shirt

Betsey Johnson! Her shops are so cute and PINK! I picked up two adorable pairs of socks. Love! socks 1, socks 2

Shopbop F&F Sale!

Currently at: my mother-in-law's house
Currently excited: to leave tomorrow!
Currently feeling: extremely sore

Shopbop just had their Friends & Family sale (just ended yesterday). I couldn't enjoy the Sephora one with it being US only, so I was excited that I could use this one! I've wanted a working watch for months now and I had to jump at this chance. Even with the money conversion, I'm saving more than $30 had I bought it here instead. I only got the one thing, because I'm going to Detroit this weekend and want to hit the outlets. :)

I got this pretty baby:

I can't say no to bows! And I certainly can't say no to Marc Jacobs! I love his timepieces as they are very durable and make every outfit just a little bit cuter. My other watch necklace is the red padlock heart (stock picture below for reference) which I've had for almost three years, so I'm very happy to include this black bow into my collection. Especially since I've been much too lazy to replace my watch battery in my other one. Silly me!

Did any of you happen to get anything with the discount?

Also small posting hiatus just on Monday since I'm heading to Detroit this weekend for a Kelly Clarkson concert and won't be back until late Monday night. Take care, lovelies! I hope you all have a terrific weekend!

Special Post!

Happy birthday!

It's my mom's birthday today! My mama turns *insert a nice young age here*. :) I hope you have a fabulous birthday. I hope it's spent getting hugs from Daniel, doggy kisses from Gabs, and maybe a nice massage from Eric! Wish I could be there so we could have girl talk while eating Mexican food, drive around with nowhere in particular to go, and enjoy some shopping so that I could play stylist.

I can't wait for Christmas. Give Eric and Daniel a hug for me! I love you lots! Happppppy birthday!

My Next Phone

Currently watching: a combo of SYTYCD and ANTM
Currently drinking: Hazelnut Iced Capp. from Tim Hortons
Currently feeling: nervous

My phone company here is getting the iPhone. It already has a few Blackberry models. My contract is up in March and I plan on upgrading phones and my contract. Can you see where this is going already?

I have the enV2 right now and it is a great phone, but I really like the functionality and apps of Blackberrys and iPhones. I have an iPod touch and love it, which actually makes the choice harder.

Anyway, feel free to tell me what you love about your Blackberry or your iPhone! What don't you like? Have you had both and made the switch from one to the other? Help me with my decision! I have a little while yet, but my pros and cons list has already been started. :)

F21 Haul

Currently drinking: water
Currently window-shopping: Shopbop
Currently feeling: warm...it's 61F in October...in Toronto!

I'd been looking at a few items online quite a bit the past few weeks, so I decided to get them. That's how I know I really want something. If I like something once and don't go back to it or find myself thinking about it, then it was just in that moment that it caught my eye. If it stays with me, I regret passing it up, or I keep going to look at it in a store, then I want it...I mean, I really want it. That probably makes sense to no one, but it works for me. :) Does anyone else use that method?!

1. Beaded bib top in dark grey from the Faith21 line- the most expensive thing I have gotten from F21/Faith21, but I think it's a great shirt for fall and for dressing up for holiday get-togethers.

2. Jeweled leopard necklace- I like leopards. ;)

3. Jeweled side satin headband- I love jewel colors and thought this would be pretty during the holidays.

4. Two-tone Wayfarer leopard sunglasses- Again, I like leopard print and leopards.

5. Expandable stone bracelet- I like that it's chunky. I don't have that many colorful bracelets and thought it would brighten up the darker colors we all tend to wear during the colder seasons. I don't usually grab up costume jewelry because it turns me green. Some people say why not save up and buy the real thing, but honestly...I don't plan on wearing this enough that I would justify spending what a bracelet like this would cost. I plan on slapping a coat of clear nail polish on the inside and wearing it on nights out. :)

I'm hoping it all will arrive in the mail today! Yay!

ELF Reviews

Currently doing: getting organized
Currently happy: to be going away this weekend!
Currently feeling: busy

Here's my review on ELF's blush and bronzer compact duo, as well as their eyebrow kit. I'll do a separate review on the brushes later this week.

This is the packaging. It looks small, but it isn't. It's a little thick. I thought it would feel like the NARS packaging, but it's a slick plastic case. The mirrors are bigger, though.

This is the eyebrow kit in light. The gel is on the left and the right is the setting powder. The women who do my eyebrows told me to always get a shade lighter than I would think for my eyebrows because they are thin and a lighter shade of brown. The little brush that it comes with is actually pretty decent. I can't believe I'm saying that, because I never like the small brushes included in products! The gel and powder are very smooth and pigmented. The color is perfect for me, so I'm rather happy with this purchase.

NARS Orgasm is on the left. While they look similar in life and pictures while in the packaging, the result on skin is different! I was really surprised with the difference of color. The ELF one is much more peachy. The ELF duo is very powdery (in a good way, oddly enough) and pigmented. A little goes a long way, especially with the bronzer. Because it's powdery, it's very smooth and goes on like silk. I really like this and I think it will compliment every skintone.

Wanna know something else?! I got a blusher/bronzer duo and a blush brush from ELF for the contest prizes! So don't forget to follow me and get me to 50 followers!

Honest Scrap Award

Currently listening: 3 by Britney Spears
Currently updating: Twitter
Currently feeling: depressed

Florrie (the adorable chick that she is) nominated me as one of her choices for the Honest Scrap Award. I am very excited for this because it's my first award like this but also because out of so many wonderful bloggers that she could have chosen, she chose me. Perhaps I just have it written in my DNA code that I must always feel undeserving. Thank you, Florrie!

The guidelines are:
1. Say Thank You and give a link to the presenter of the award
2. Share "10 Honest Things" about myself
3. Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
4. Tell those 7 people that they have been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines.

1. I'm the person that sticks up for the underdog, stands up to bullies, and tries to fight for what is right. It's not something I brag about, but rather something that I'm proud about. It took years of teasing in school and one day I just realized that I was over being the victim.

2. I will wear shirts more than once when they are my favorites or I'm just around family. When going to events or out with friends, I won't wear the same thing twice as far as shirts or dresses go. Yes, I'm vain that way. I just enjoy the feeling of wearing something new!

3. Music is very important to me. I write it, I play instruments, I sing it, and I dance to it. I turn to it for everything. It helps me get everything out and just feel better in general.

4. I have phone anxiety. I have anxiety issues regardless, but most people don't know about my fear of phones. I absolutely hate having to make phone calls and pick up the phone. I can't even stand having to order dinner over the phone. Online ordering was the best thing to happen to me.I honestly have to give myself a pep talk before calling most of the time.

5. My favorite person EVER in my life was my aunt. Oddly enough, I called her Sister because that was her nickname that she got at an early age. I got my morals and faith from her. I never learned a negative thing about her or from her. She had a huge hand in raising me and all of my good childhood memories include her. Nobody is perfect, but she sure was close to it.

6. I'm a huge Broadway addict. I know almost every show tune and what show they are from...and every lyric. I love seeing them in person and being in that whole atmosphere. For a long time, it was a dream of mine to be in a Broadway show.

7. My main goal right now is to get one of my photographs on a postcard. I want to get a degree in photography so that I may freelance with it.

8. I try to keep up with mostly every person I've known. I even still talk to my fourth grade teacher! Life is all about lost contacts and I think that it can be averted. People come into my life for a reason, so I try to keep the good ones in it.

9. I've been to more visitations and funerals than birthdays that I have celebrated. Meaning I'm 25 now, and I've been to more than 25 combined visitations and funerals. Yep. :(

10. I am spoiled rotten. I'm the first to admit it, so if you think you're insulting me by telling me that...you're not. If you're spending within your budget, I don't see anything wrong with being spoiled. If I want that Marc Jacobs handbag enough, I'll give up something else that I like long enough to get enough money to get it. Nothing wrong with wanting the finer things in life! I'm spoiled in other ways also, of course.

American Eagle Haul

Currently excited: I have a new job starting soon!
Currently reading: UK Glamour
Currently feeling: nervous

I only order from American Eagle when I have my hands on a really good discount code. In this case, I had one excellent code that acted like two as well as a great deal on their part. I was able to get their buy one shirt, get one half off deal. I got 15% off of my order, as well as free shipping! Score!

Striped Slim Cardigan in Navy Heather- Cardigans are my weakness. I honestly can't say no to a cute cardigan. They just add an instant facelift to every outfit. I like that this one is a longer length. Also the slim fit will make it great for layering under jackets in the colder weather.

Make Peace Tee in Indigo Water- I love peace signs. I did get this to possibly wear to my upcoming Kelly Clarkson concert, though. She wears a similar shirt during one of her concert sets. So yeah, my KC obsession played a role in this purchase. Ha!

Love Tee in Navy Shade- Can't be a fan of the peace sign without being a fan of love. :) Nothing wrong with spreading positive messages! I plan on wearing this under cardigans with the top buttons unbuttoned so the message can shine through.

Didn't realize until now that I got all blue! During fall/winter months, I tend to go for the darker colors. I do find myself reaching more for dark purples, blues, grays, and blacks. Maybe that's part of the reason I love the colder months! Those colors are so forgiving on everyone!

EOTD! Green With Envy

Currently watching: youtube
Currently drinking: water
Currently feeling: panicky

Just playing around again! I realized I hardly ever play with greens anymore! It used to be one of my favorite colors for the eyes, so I decided to focus on that love again. So here is a look working around green and a random makeup tip at the bottom!

Products Used:
MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot
Coastal Scents 88 Pc. Palette- last green
MAC Melon pigment
CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus eyeliner in black
Rimmel Glam'Eyes mascara

TIP: To help you get a nice sharp corner on your outer eye area, take a piece of tape. Get some of the sticky feel off by putting it on the back of your hand and peeling it off two or three times. This way it's not too sticky when put around the eye area. Put the tape right around where your eyebrow ends and angle it to the corner of your eye. Then, put on your eyeshadow as normal. Pull the tape off and you are left with a perfect V. You can blend it in a little more afterward to soften it up, if need be. I use this method all of the time when I'm in a hurry!
