1. Philosophy Bath, Shower, and Shampoo Gel
I don't have the Red Velvet Cake as pictured above, but I could not find a picture of the Vanilla Birthday Cake to use. Vanilla Birthday Cake smells so yummy! Just like a cupcake! It's incredibly rich and is great as a shower gel. I tried it as a shampoo once, but I found that it weighed down my already fine and thin hair. If you have thick hair, I'm sure it would work fine. :)

2. Clinique Perfectly Real Compact
I really love Clinique products. This is my first compact by them, though. I was a Cover Girl kind of gal, but now I think I might be a convert. I don't much care for the sponge that came with it, so I just use a different type.

3. Rosebud Salve
This is a miracle invention! It works wonders for rashes, burns, dry skin, chapped lips, and even more things I have probably yet to discover! This small little tin lasts a long time. A little dab of it goes a long way, and it is far worth the $8 or so that it costs.

4. Hard Candy Take Out Makeup Kit
At first, I liked the concept of this. Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lipgloss, and concealer all in one package! However, I find that I hardly have reason to use any of the colors of eyeshadow because most of them are pastels and just do not go with my wardrobe. The lipglosses all look like the same shade on my lips. And the kit lost some of its screws that holds it together, so now I have to be careful when opening it. :/ It just was not for me. It'd be great as a gift to a little girl who is just now experimenting with makeup and starting to wear it.

Step By Step

I just want to give a huge thanks to all of the bands from my past that are reuniting and giving me another chance to finally get to see them!

The other day was a day that I have been waiting for since the 90s. I got my ticket to a concert that has me shaking with anticipation! Back in the day, I was a super fan girl. These boys were my first addiction besides Barbie dolls and Matchbox cars. I had the slap bracelets, sleeping bag, pillow cases, dolls, posters, cassette tapes, you name it...If their faces were on it, I had it. I'm talking about the New Kids on the Block!

Yes, yes, yes! After all of these years, I'm finally getting the opportunity to see them. I've always been a Donnie and Danny girl, but they are all looking hot. Time has been good to them! They should be called New Men on the Block now. :) I like the new single, Summertime. It is a very exciting thing to hear them on the radio again. First, the Spice Girls and now NKOTB. Now, if I could just get Justin, Joey, Chris, Lance, and JC to get back together... :D

Step by step ooh baby
Gonna get to you girl
Step by step ooh baby
Really want you in my world

P.S.- Changed the layout AGAIN! The other one was not what I wanted. This one is much more summery, lighter, and PINK! Plus, I really just cannot resist Gossip Girl.

Sex and the City Movie

Currently watching: Criminal Minds
Currently drinking: XXX Vitamin Water
Currently feeling: happy that it's the weekend

Time for another movie review! This one has been one that I have been waiting for years to happen and it finally has!

Sex and the City

The movie was not disappointing whatsoever! Seriously, the only thing disappointing were the idiot girls sitting behind me and a few rows up. They obviously do not understand that Sex and the City has always pushed the boundaries of fashion. So after hearing "Eeew, what is she wearing?", "She spent how much on those shoes?!", and things along those lines...I just wanted to raise my hand and smack them. Ever heard of whispering to the person next to you instead of shouting? Try it next time, girls!

For myself, I love the extreme fashion. Would I wear a white dress with a flower the size of my head on the shoulder? No, absolutely not. It completely works on Carrie, though. You expect her to wear things like that and she is possibly one of the only girls who can! I cannot give a SATC review without mentioning the shoes- the wonderful shoes! They were simply to die for and left me thinking about what can I sell to afford any of them. Yes, I can be that shallow. I am not ashamed.

I cannot say too much without giving away spoilers, but most of the story lines left me satisfied. They gave Charlotte some hilarious moments, tested Miranda and Samantha, and kept Carrie a bit of the same (almost perfect and real like the rest of us). If you are a Sex and the City fan at all, please see this movie. Even if you are not, I recommend it. My husband moaned and groaned about having to see it with me and ended up laughing through some parts and saying it was not as bad as he thought it might be. It left me with one thought, though- When do I get to see a sequel? I want more!

I'll be making this rating with Cosmos, instead of the usual cupcakes. Obviously, I have to hold true to the theme!

Rating:

Miranda: [at a bar, drinking Cosmopolitans] Why did we ever stop drinking these?
Carrie: Because everyone else started!

Sad news for the fashion industry and fashionistas everywhere...

Yves Saint Laurent ( 8/1/36-6/1/08 )

Yves Saint Laurent has passed away. I am extremely saddened by this. He was a man of style and grace and I believe know the fashion industry will miss him terribly. ♥

"St. Laurent has always been one of my greatest fashion mentors. ... Every woman in the world, sometimes without even knowing it, has something in her closet inspired by Yves Saint Laurent. His genius is irreplacable."
- Michael Kors

"He was a great designer, and I admired his fidelity to a style that was precise and without comparison, as well as his sense of fantasy and his great respect for women and beauty. He was also a great artist. I am very sad about his departure."
- Valentino
