And read my review of the Spice Girls concert! :)

It was my first concert I have ever gone to alone. I'm rather proud of myself, because I'm the type of person to never do things like that alone. I mean, I freak having to take the subway by myself! So I never go see a movie or out to eat by myself...Even in college if I thought I was going to have to eat alone in the cafeteria, I chose to eat in my dorm instead. I'm working on that, though! This was the first step. :)

I went downtown to meet Lar for dinner, and then went in to the auditorium early to get some merchandise and find my seat. I got a t-shirt and keychain, and changed into the t-shirt right away. It was hot, and my heavy sweater was not cuttin' it! Then, I made the hike up Mount Everest which is where my seat was located. At least it felt like it! I thought I was gonna need an oxygen mask with the high altitude. I got prepared to have a nosebleed, just in case. :P I got lucky, because I was on the last row of seats. The row behind me had to stand or sit on the floor all night. Bummer for those guys!

The tickets said 7:30pm, which almost always means 8pm. Well, they made us wait until almost 9pm before they came on stage! I was not impressed by that. I wasted the time by playing on my cell phone and reading UK's Glamour. The set list was as follows:

Spice Up Your Life
Stop
Say You'll Be There
Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)
The Lady is a Vamp
Too Much
2 Become 1
Who Do You Think You Are
each Spice Girl had a solo
Viva Forever
Holler- without Geri, since it was on the album after she left
Let Love Lead the Way- again without Geri
Mama
disco medley- Celebration, Shake Your Body, That's The Way ( I Like It), We Are Family
Goodbye
If U Can't Dance
Wannabe
Spice Up Your Life outro- followed by a screen that said Mission Accomplished

I think that is all of them! I was pretty satisfied with the line-up, but I wish it could have been longer. Or perhaps I am just bitter from having to wait over 2 hours to see them...Much less over 10 years! I want more! :P I did get a little sappy during their song Goodbye, because I realized that it was indeed a goodbye. It was their goodbye, and a little goodbye to part of my childhood. I remember sitting in my bedroom playing their CDs over and over at my aunt's house. I have my fingers crossed that they will get together again a few years down then road. *crosses fingers*

All-in-all, the concert got my seal of approval. They did all of their big hits and more. I feel quite satisfied. The following night was their final concert, and I am actually glad that it was not that one that I went to. I think I would have been much more emotional. I'm such a loser, but again...they were a huge part of my childhood. I was this bad with New Kids, Nsync, and others too! Thank goodness for reunion tours! :D

We're going to Chicago in March! March 24-26th, to be exact! I am so excited. What a fun way to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary! I've never been to Chicago, but I know great shopping awaits me. The new Marc by Marc Jacobs store...here I come! :D

So tell me where I need to shop and what I need to see!

My hubby did well this Valentine's Day. I gave him a list of ideas (his request) to help him pick something out. Ladies, I really insist that you do this for your fellas! Otherwise, you might just get something like a shirt two sizes too big or something. You know what I'm talking about! :P

He came home to pick me up to take me out to dinner. We had reservations at Kelsey's, but thanks to rush hour traffic and snow plows cleaning the road...we did not make it. We have a tradition where if we can't make it to Kelsey's, we do Greek food. So we went to one of the Greek restaurants. OPA! We had a lovely dinner, and then it was time for me to open my lovely Valentine gift.

Larry even did well with the packaging. Pink and red are my favorite colors, so he picked me out a girly pink bag and put red tissue paper in it. As for gifts: he got me lots of Hershey kisses, a pink heart-shaped memo pad because I am an office supplies nerd, some Valentine cookies with Lost and Medium on them (two of my fave shows), Hello Kitty bath gel and lotion, and some chocolate body paint ;).

On top of those things...this is where I am the luckiest...my babe knows my obsession with Old Navy and Sephora! Bless his heart, because he looked everywhere in Old Navy for a certain cardigan that I wanted and he could not find it. He was upset about it!
I had been wanting this sweater for awhile, so I was happy! He also got me a pink shirt with a red heart on the shoulder and a black henley with snaps on the right shoulder. I could not find pictures of those!
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy! I love this color! It has glitter in it that you can make more subtle with just one layer or load up on it with a few extra swipes! Va-va-va-vooooom!
Urban Decay eyeshadow primer to keep my new eyeshadow on! Seriously, this stuff is excellent. It prevents creasing and fading.

Ok, and so this does not make me sound shallow...I want to tell what I did for him! Well, what I did for him that did not involve the chocolate body paint. Hahah! I started working in early January on a Powerpoint slideshow for him. That was my Valentine card! I made the slides in both Powerpoint and in Paint Shop Pro, and set the show to Colbie Caillat's Bubbly. :) I also made a butter pecan cake with vanilla frosting. I attempted to decorate it and put "my valentine xo" with hearts on it in pink gel. And then I bought us two tickets to a Toronto Rock lacrosse game! Really excited for that one!

Also, I would like to pay my condolences to the friends and family of the captain of the Windsor Spitfires captain who just died at age 19. He was a prospect for the Calgary Flames. It's heartbreaking to see someone so young and talented lose their life. Anyway, more later!

I felt the need for a change. I told Mel that she could make me a header, but she has a lot on her plate right now. :/ And I don't want to add to it! She can make me my next header! ♥

Anyway, I love me some Gossip Girl so it seemed only natural to base my new header on the show. :) Speaking of which, I am a moderator at a Gossip Girl forum. I'm Jenny Humphrey on there! All the mods have character names, and Serena was taken. I love Jenny, though! So if you are a fan of the show, come join up, bookmark it, and chat with fellow fans! Gossip Girl Spot

My ears are no better, and if anything the infection has spread a bit to my throat. I don't know what to do. I will go back to the doctor later in the week, if there is no sign of it getting better. It's been over a week now, and the Amoxicillin did nothing for me. :( Ok...stop whining, Wendy.

That's all I have for now considering I'm running on next to no sleep. Insomnia=kill me now. There will be at least two blogs about fashion coming up. I'll bite the bullet and get around to them soon. Later gators! :)

Sick.

Oh my gosh, I feel like crud. I have an ear infection in both ears. I feel like I am living in a bucket. I can barely hear anything. It almost feels like when you have water in your ears only it throbs and burns. Yeah, lots of fun...

Anyway, I do have an idea for my next post that does not involve me complaining. :/
